This is the 7-String, HIWATT and distortion driven demo as opposed to the cleaner version which can be viewed at • Wampler: ETHEREAL Dela...
There's also a third version that I filmed with a Music Man Axis, Wampler HotWired V1 and Axe-FX II XL+ that can be viewed at • Wampler: ETHEREAL Dela...
Wampler's newest addition to their ever expanding catalog of stomp goodness is a little something guaranteed to bring out the space cadet in everyone. The Ethereal couples a 4-Mode Delay with a very deep plate-style Reverb and lets you mix in as much or as little of each as you like. The results range from simple 'air' reverbs like spring and room, right through to deep space and oscillation madness. Four Delay Modes - quarter note, triplet, dotted eighth and dotted eighth with ambient trails - give you tons of variance, especially when you pair them with the wide range of delay times (10ms - 1sec). You can choose to operate the Ethereal in True or Trails Bypass meaning you can switch off your pedal, plonk your guitar down on the stage, and walk off with it still oscillating away furiously. Great fun!
Built in the USA by the proven Wampler team, the Ethereal is really two great pedals in one and will suit anyone looking for reverb, delay or ambient additions to their pedalboards.

Is the Ethereal in front of the amp or through the fx loop?

Through the front. The HIWATT has no effects loop.

Brett, your demo year ago made get the black high gain R3 distortion pedal by 6 degrees. How would you compare the mind abuse distortion to the R3 distortion pedal by 6 degrees??? If you have time to answer would much appreciate. Enjoy your videos. Thx

Did you power it with 18V? I have same pedal, couldn’t be happier (I guess)...only if it had some more “headroom” in its chip, as I’m constantly experiencing issues with digital clipping noise when picking/hitting/strumming strings heavily. I’ve great SG Special with pair of 490 Alnico IIs, so I would not assume the problem is because my output level is “too high” or smth like that. And when adding just a tiny bit of my Echoplex Pre gain, things get even worse within Ethereal. I’ve never experienced problems like this with any of my delay or reverb pedals. I‘ve researched that the “problem” was related to that sensitive chip in Ethereal, so I bought great Decibel Eleven power unit and couldn’t be happier again... if only it had obtained any improvements in sound after I plugged it to 12V output (whilst it had NOT). So now I have to make “last try” before I simply return this unit back - need to try connecting two 9V in series so I get 18V in the end and hear if it makes any difference.

@@shckltnebay Works pretty good at 18V but I'm still not feeling quite comfortable with its headroom. Again - I'm at Alnico IIs + the subtlest amount of Echoplex Pre before Ethereal. I donno, it's definitely a great sounding unit at its core, but this headroom issue is really annoying. Oh and btw it's quite noisy too.

@@dmytromorozov2593I second this and am listing mine tonight. Might sound good through a soldano but not working well through my amazing marshall super lead.
