I was having a hard time picturing the end result as you were doing it because I thought you were making a tray with sea glass and resin in it. This turned out beautifully! I love it! And what a unique and creative idea to use the turtles as handles! I would definitely love a wavy water mold!!Please let us know if you decide to sell one. Great job!!!

What a unique and beautiful texture! The transparent blue is a gorgeous choice. Turtles for handles is such a creative idea and they look so cute! There are a lot of fun possibilities with this, you could add fantasy film into the sea glass areas. A color shift or even pour an array of transparent colors in those cavities, you could make small lizards for handles. I have a larger really pretty Koi fish mold with a curved tail that would be really cute too. As usual.. great job Julie!

Oh I loooooove this!!!!!! From the watery ripples (including the ripple edge) to the turtles swimming toward each other, it's so pretty! While it's a great tray, you're right that it's absolutely pretty enough to be art. I'd hang something like that on my wall tbh. So pretty!

Hey Julie! Your turtle tray is too cool, what a fun conversation piece!! The turtles for handles was a super idea and they are beautiful little guys. Love that blue color, it gives the feeling of cool refreshing water and yes ma'am...the rough edge goes "swimmingly" with the theme!😂 Really enjoyed the new project. Big ((Hugs)) from Texas!🤗💙🐢

This tray worked out beautifully! I was disappointed when you didn’t keep the sea glass in it, but you sure don’t need it for beauty!! Keep the edges like they are but sand and paint just the top, sharp edge. Awesome idea and 3D out the wazoo! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Gorgeous! And I like the rough edges. A posible alternative for the handles is to drill shallow holes in the turtles (or any other fixture) and attach short rods for additional height if needed for carrying. But my left OCD brain will insist I remove the labels becsuse I would know and it will drive me crazy😂

Such a beautiful tray the turtle handles are a great touch. It kinda reminds me of ice in a way you could do another one and put polar bears or penguins on it as handles. That would look cute too. I just love your videos thank you for sharing your creations with us. I so want to start pouring but I can't financially right now 😢. I would love to create things as beautiful as you do and sell some of the things I created. Who knows maybe when I can start pouring I might just start a channel like yours I think it's really cool what you do. Any pointers on how to get started with you tube I will never be as good as you though keep doing you I love your videos and I really don't care how long they are it don't bother me one bit. I watch from beginning to end excited to see what the end result will be even it it don't work the way you thought it would I like to see how much of the colors you put in and how much to mix it your an inspiration.

This one turned out really pretty! 😍 How evenly does it sit on a table though? 🤔 I'm curious. 😅 Those stickers on the bottom of the turtles would bug the heck out of me though, lol. For future reference, oil (regular cooking oil, whatever is on hand) is very good for removing stickers. Just break the edge if it's a shiny sticker so the oil gets underneath and let it sink in to the paper for a few minutes. It should peel off very easily afterwards. Acetone works too since it eats the glue but it could remove the paint from the little figure so I only use acetone for stickers on glass. 😊👍
Actually, speaking of the turtles, how secure are they as handles? I'm wondering how well they stuck and if they're easy to grasp. Wouldn't creating some sort of standoff for them have made them easier to use? 🤔 I think a bit of polymer clay and a couple of screws would have helped a lot. Drilling a small pilot hole into the bottom of the turtles, driving a long screw into them and marking where they come out of the turtles then taking them out and covering the rest of the shaft of the screws (leaving the head exposed on the bottom) with polymer clay in a color to match the turtles or the tray then baking them and screwing them back on would have made a perfect standoff. It would have given you room to properly grab the turtles as handles and been more secure, especially if you made a flared base so it could be solidly stuck in the resin. Coating the clay in a thin layer of resin (probably UV resin to make it easier) would make it even more secure and durable. A bit of fantasy film over the polymer clay or even just rubbing in some mica powder before baking it would have even made it a very pretty detail on the tray. If you don't want to fuss with polymer clay, simple wooden beads (possibly painted and coated in resin though natural pale beads would look good too) would have achieved the same thing a bit faster and easier as long as the screw head was bigger than the hole in the beads. I'm just a fan of doing things the more customizable way, lol. There's some food for thought for you. 😉

Do they still sell rubber adhesive? Back when I was in elementary, we all had paste or white glue, but the teachers had the coveted RUBBER CEMENT!
It just strikes me as something that would be useful in a project like this. You could draw your trails with it to make the pattern. Then, you wouldn’t need a barrier. Just let it dry before you pour, then peel it out once the resin is cured.

Adhesives on stickers such as barcode labels gives way when you lift an edge, and apply isopropyl alcohol to them. Unless it would damage the item you're trying to remove the sticker from, this is the tried and true method of making many sticky things come off quickly, and cleanly. As to whether you need to adjust anything about your process of talking, and fiddling through your experiments; personally, I think you don't.
I watched one video of yours around a year ago from curiosity. You, on the other hand, are why I keep coming back. I enjoy your method of trying something new, and appreciating the results whether they're what you wanted to achieve or not. There's a lot of artifice on youtube, and while I won't claim to be picky about how one builds a video to post online (since I'm really not) I like the authentic _you_ that you share with your viewers. There's nothing wrong with being happy and bubbly, maybe even a little goofy and weird. The world would be too boring if people never expressed themselves about the things that make them happy. And I'm happy that with your following you're in a position to be able to do what you love, and keep trying new things. Fiddle away worry free!

Guys, i have a question: my finished resin product turns yellowish after a while. This is a low-quality resin or there are other reasons (the sun)? If it is the sun, will the product turn yellow over time anyway?😒 The seller said that resin is good and its all because of UV, but i dont really trust them, you know... Thank you!

It looks like a floating sheet of ice! 🥰
😬 I would have removed the stickers from the bottom of the turtles. I'd be worried about the stickers letting go and popping the turtles off or them creating gaps. Dampening them with water & rubbing would have taken 90% off in no time at all. Acetone on a Qtip would remove any residual glue without putting any oily substance that would inhibit them from getting stuck to the resin & if dried completely before applying them to the resin it would help them make full contact to stick well.
