    WOW, I love the rainbow effect on this 1. Love the idea of the instant mold. I have a suggestion for joining the ends so they don't leak. Cut a V on the 1 end and then an inverted V on the other, so that they slot together and it will give more surface area for the ends to stick to each other. Keep up the great work and ideas. All the best, Diane, UK xx

    I would make a sillicone mold of the diffraction sheet first. That way you'd be able to use it over and over again without ruining the sheet. Love it! It is stunning💖💖

    I love the instant mold idea- I've tried a drawing curve, but the material would have stuck to the resin, same with wikki sticks, wax, silicone caluking, hot glue, aluminum (which was close, but broke too easily). This silicone looks perfect! Maybe it could be made with a wire inside so that it could do more dramatic curves. If you think of carrying some of these, I recommend a smaller size, too. Maybe a medium for coasters and small for jewelry!

    10 out of 10 for the Instant Mould Julie, you could join them like you would coving or a dado rail and do the cut on an angle instead and of straight across. I would certainly want a couple f them. You could make serving mats for your table. 🤗😘🦋

  • @bubblemum
    @bubblemum 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Stunning! It looks like a bowl carved from a giant piece of black fire opal! To keep the edges of the resin strip together, you could try a large staple placed on either side of the join by hand, perhaps two. They would hold on until removed and not cause a reaction like the clay did. Using a nice hot hair dryer on it to warm it up should help you to get it to slump into the bowl easier. Not the torch, just a bit of warmth. Or maybe float the bowl in a sink filled with hot water to gently transfer the heat?
    No matter what, I want to try this amazing black opal effect now!

  • @consueloyoung4484
    @consueloyoung4484 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I give you an A+ for having these wonderful ideas!!. Did I miss understand that you were going to do the black on the outside, happy you didn’t. Probably because of the type of bowl you used. I was thinking of a strip of red resin for the edge.

    Grate idea! (Get it?) haven't been able to find the variety of diffraction films you have yet, but fantastic idea! Uv resin or hot glue would probably work on the seam. I also bought some of the square silicone edging! It was listed under specialty pie crusts. It's a shame we can't flood coat on these.
