You may find a few that do the gimmicky jumpy style of play, but for the most part the majority of them play and win using solid fundamentals

The set was over at 3:19. Punk tried to do DP and dropped the input. Punk is the type of player that once he lose his momentum, he will lose the set. Paladin also just had an answer to everything Punk did. Paladins neutral and fireball game was on point. I can tell he also did his homework too. Punk got completely outplayed, no matter what the excuse is.

Not gone lie I thought punk was going to dominate most tournaments but it’s like he gets in a streak then fumbles bad. A good player tho just not the best(maybe in the future who knows)
I'd love to dunk on Punk like everyone else, but it can be a good learning experience on what I feel he's been doing wrong (not necessarily just here).
His whiff punishing is absurdly good, we all know that, but he tends to stand at a very specific range to whiff punish, while trying to keep the range for plus/neutral divekicks. He also rarely if ever wants to use ex divekick to threaten a bigger range, in the same way a lot of the JP cammys do. Sure it costs some bar, but it is a way to make your opponent respect your options. Even seen some walk up like they are gonna throw, then ex divekick. Being -2 is a lot better than risking a -8 (or higher) huge punish. Some games he also goes for divekicks so much you'd think he was playing sf4 lol.
Agreed on him standing at a specific range too much. It's crazy predictable, really think Punk needs to explore Cammy more, he's not using her as well as he could and is over relying on neutral, almost to the point of laziness and arrogance.
Yeah at this point I feel like I can spot a Punk Cammy gameplay from a blind lineup. Everyone playing him is watching him and studying him even more. Feels like he doesn't try different things in matches enough

Paladin played really solid and he deserves this win. Punk on the other hand, he made excuses that he lost because of the guessing lol. Really funny considering he lost to Ryu, the most basic character in the roster that relies a lot on fundamentals to win while he used Cammy which have matchup advantage over Ryu and also can easily forced 50-50 situations against his opponents just from using Cammy walkspeed alone.
Punk literally beat the guy who 3-0'd (!) Paladin and Bananaken 2 days later in tournament...tldr Punk knows what he's talking about more than internet random anons

Teenagers are actually not bad at the game. They have better reaction speeds than older people. Punks not that old, but certain aspects of his play will naturally decline with age.
That 16 year old is extremely good and a lot of people are improving at this game. Plus Punk's mental game has not improved. When I watched Evo, I knew Mena and Angry Bird would place higher than Punk even though Punk was having a good run.
