The final piece of the shift linkage showed up so I got to installing the kit from S&P Automotive. This kit adapts the original shifter and shifter rod to work with 02A and 02J 5 speed transmissions. Aligning it took 4-5 attempts but it works! On with the checklist...

Innovative motorsport solutions /IMS (in the US) do a nice billet shift mount to get rid of the plastic ball from Vw. I’ve just ordered one which will hopefully be delivered by next week.

Hey im in the middle of doing this install as well and i didnt keep anything off of my 020. I cant seem to find either of the parts you were showing from it anywhere online. Do you have any part numbers?
