I cant understand why they felt the need to take Nikolas father away from him later on, after all the build up to revealing he had a father who was alive
I love how stefan speaks & the dialogue is great. The cassadines are such a unique family. What a wonderful creation. I believe by gloria monty. I was glad they brought the cassadines back & brought in alexis stefan nikolas & cast constance towers as helena a role originated by Elizabeth taylor. How awesome. I just hate that it hurt the relationship of luke & Laura & the bond luke & lucky had.
I love how Luke took two hundred million dollars from the cast the cassidines gave donations to small charities and set back and watch the cassadine crumble
These old Luke and Laura scene are INFORMATIONAL!! Laura was all about “stability” not adventure during this time 1996-2001 because she was raising Lulu. NOW /2020, it pretty clear Laura is about that adventure life not boring white picket fence being mayor and Kevin wife. Laura best scene from 2015- present was Laura and Curtis mystery adventure
Laura nailed it, she hung in there when running from Frank Smith, Luke's problem but now that things are not going the way he wants, he bails. As she said, "That's all I need to know", very selfish.
She was wrong. The horrible poison that Stefan and Nicholas put into their lives about the so-called rape wrecked havoc, combined with Laura constantly visiting spoon island and distancing herself from Luke turned Lukes heart cold and bitter which is why he left. She lacked the protectiveness of Luke when confronting the bogus rape story because she stopped loving him. She stopped loving Luke while trying to convince herself by saying to Stefan "I love Luke" again and again when she didn't.
@@gerardfonz Laura really had no choice in befriending Nicholas. She's his mother and Stefan took care of him. Laura owed them both. And, Luke DID rape Laura (watch the scene). If Luke had been more of a man, he would have allowed Laura to become a mother to Nicholas. There's no doubt Laura always loved Luke best, but guess that wasn't enough. Luke hated the competition and the potential danger.

Stefan gives every excuse and reasoning for anything shameful he has done or said, but to give a "break" to anyone else who is even less cruel or much less selfish than he is, his judgements towards them but never himself, because in my opinion his bottom line is always always about "himself' not Nikolas, he uses his so called love for "his son or nephew" as he would a sword, Stefan's love for anyone always comes with a price, if they don't agree with him and want to "be moral and honest" like Nikolas, he tells Nikolas he is being "foolish" because all Stefan thinks about is money, power and control. I say Nikolas is being "moral, honest and not egotistical or arrogant or selfish as Stefan is...that is it in a nutshell...other than Stefan trying to control EVERYONE in his life no matter the consequences of what will happen to them, including Nikolas..
I don't think Laura is necessarily a dull character, but her priorities have changed. When Lulu magically aged into adulthood, Laura became mayor, remarried, and had a crazily dangerous adventure in Greenland. All without Luke.
Luke left her, she was loyal right up until the moment she realized that only his crisis are the ones that matter…he left her when things got too rough at home and now Laura has the right to get to explore other options
