Luke needs to grow up and face the fact that Laura put her son Nikolas first for once (before him) which is what she should have done from the beginning! Luke is a big boy and he certainly is NOT innocent. In fact, Luke kicked this all off by coming up with the idea of Helena going over that wall and falling to her death instead of it happening to Katherine. Laura just did what any loving parent would do to protect her son. Luke isn't exactly innocent he also had other women and a child with Holly so where does he get off blaming Laura for what she did. After all she didn't ask to be kidnapped and she thought Luke had died too.
Luke's whole problem is that he can't believe Laura lied to him. It's been his problem since the Cassadines returned. Those two, LnL, were partners in crime since the Left Handed Boy and he just can't accept that there are things that she didn't tell him, regardless of her reasons. In his mind, the two of them could have overcome anything and in her mind Helena would have destroyed Luke, the future Lucky and Nikolas. Who can blame her for lying? She put the safety of her children ahead of Luke. No one can blame her. And Luke for all of his bluster would never have accepted Nikolas even as a baby because he was a Cassadine. I don't care what he says. I've watched that character from the start and there is zero chance of it. ZERO. Laura knew it. He would have told her to leave Nikolas and never look back and it would have destroyed them right then. She knew that. Just like Luke would have insisted she accept Holly's child. The one thing I will say is that Ethan was a complete rewrite of Luke's character. There is no way he would have cheated on her. Not possible. Laura was the epitome of what Luke wanted and it was more than a person, it was a life. He wanted what he never had on Elm Street and Laura represented that for him. He wanted someone like Laura to see him as more than a street kid digging through trash to feed his sister and when she did, it was the ultimate for him. His biggest problem with Stefan here is that he feels that Stefan was more worthy of a Laura than he was and he also worries that she sees Nikolas as more the child she was worthy to bear rather than Lucky, the child of a street rat like him. True or not, that is his big problem here. It's why he begins his big decline into the bottle that continues until he leaves. Without Laura's acceptance, Luke cannot believe he's worth anything and that was always the truth. She survived and did better. He did not.
What bothers me the most about Luke’s behavior, is that Laura has forgiven him for the atrocity of raping her, the child he had with Holly, and has followed him all over the world without question. For once it’s his job to be the forgiving understanding person, and in his self centered world that’s not possible
Luke already knew that Laura was comforted by Stefan on the Island and that she confided in him about the bad night at the disco, so why is he so stunned about the idea she may have had intimacy with him a few times? After all, he was thought to be dead at the time. I think the big problem is Nikolas being Stefan and Laura's son, competition.
Everyone was so mean to Laura. She was a frickin prisoner on that island and she found a friend to confide in and yes a lover that she could feel something other then discuss. Look was off sleeping with people and living it up while his wife was a prisoner, but oh yes Laura was all in the wrong because she tried to survive. I really hate lucky and Luke through this period of the rape coming out and this part of Stefan coming out. The way they treated her was unforgivable.
This torment that Laura is going through reminds me of the same torment that she went through with telling Scott about the emotional affair she had with Luke and the rape.
Gee Luke, much of a hypocrite? Weren't you getting it on with Holly.... and Connie..... while you thought Laura was dead? WHO are YOU to condemn anyone?
@ Just Lina Luke told Laura about Holly & the child Holly miscarried when Laura in 1983. You can blame Luke for the future infidelity that produced Ethan. Laura should of told Luke this earlier.
@@fomalhauto Luke also told Laura to report him & was willing to pay the consequences. Eventually what destroyed Luke destroyed Stefan even more, I guess those are the breaks.
CRACK ! The Nik Cassadine storylines put a crack in Luke and Laura BUT they still got back together . What really ended Luke and Laura forever, the storylines between 2001-20015
Huge difference, almost doesn't count. If Holly had the child, Laura would have been enraged. When Laura came back, she should have told Luke. She didn't because she knew how Luke would react and what he would do. She knew he would go after the kid and kill the cassidines. After doing that, Luke would have left laura. She knew if she told him, Luke would leave her forever.
He hates that Nikolas will always be link to the Cassadines. But Luke is a selfish person. Start with how he deceived his friend Scotty. He ended up selfishly raping Laura. He dragged her with him during his escape. He raked his best friend and Holly over the coals, when Robert was trying to save Holly and Luke's baby from being deported. He starts to have some heart as Major of PC but decides it's not for him. Then takes Laura away from everyone who loves her. Has an affair with Holly. Laura's crime? She got kidnapped and had a baby by her kidnapper. She kept quiet because of Helena's threats. In this relationship Laura really got the worse of it. I have always been a huge L&L fan. But I end up rooting for Stefan. What a couple they would have made. He would have spoiled her rotten. Then, Luke and Tracy could have been the bad guys.
Right. I can understand that she loves him. Has been with him almost half her life. But the way he treats a kid, her kid, who has done nothing wrong would totally have any woman worth a damn kicking him to the curb. Not begging him to stay.
Why does she put up with bully luke. He hates her son who did not ask to be born. How does she love this hot headed man who is mentally abusive to her. I just don’t get why she puts up with him and begs for his understanding
"What have you done Luke!?" What have you done??" 😳 45:05 I know this is when GH started to get darker, but were we actually supposed to believe Alexis thought Luke seriously hurt (possibly even killed) Laura here??? 🤯 Understood maybe Nik/Lucky being worried cause of the rape, but Alexis took it over the top IMO.
Who cares who she slept with when he was supposedly dead? Luke is an unfeeling hypocrite who makes rules for everyone he doesn't keep himself. Here he caused the death of an innocent woman and doesn't even care. He plays a soulless creep so well.
The storyline of Luke & Laura separating, & Stefan shouldn't of happened. Lucky holding a grudge made the two leave GH because of the storyline. Holly having a child with Luke is no different. The storyline of the iconic couple is twisted in my opinion.
I hate Luke personality in these later years he So so not trusting she thought he was dead and Luke was not innocent too with Holly and other women who does he think he is mr innocent
Is this clip mixed up. Earlier I saw Stefan convicted did I miss something ? Bc the trial was goinb on with laura on the stand . Thank u for these clips by the way. I thought reinventing the cassadines was a great use of re writing history or I filling in the gaps of Laura kidnapping. Wait Stavros is def Nikolas dad why do they think Stefan is his dad ?
What order are you watching in? I believe Stefan was on trial more than once. They think Stefan is the father because, well, Laura was screwing both Stefan and Stavros at the same time. (I never get people who say I was sure you were/I was the dad when multiple partners are involved without condom or birth control. Wishful thinking BS.) Anyway Helena falsified the DNA test to show Stefan was the dad. I forget the exact reason tho probably about getting her hands on the Cassadine money. (That story is later in the clips). Anyway a second DNA test proved Stavros was the father.

She told that to Lucky about it too!

Luke the biggest hypocrite on GH.

Beginning of the End.
So what if Laura slept with Stefan when to her, Luke was dead. Stavros is dead, Luke slept with Holly and had a child. That seems to be OK.
