171 from the 249 interchange to i 49 in Carthage I heard it could be I 49 or I 249 for that to happen MoDOT will have to redo the i 49 interchange in Carthage to meet interstate standards or construct a connector freeway from 171 near Brooklyn heights Exit to i 49 near civil war road exit if this happens 171 could just end at the 249 junction or 171 can just be decommissioned and US 400 can be rerouted to replace 171 from US 69 to the 249 interchange
@GLOATINGMAPLE01 Makes sense to keep 49 from running concurrent with I-44. They could upgrade the interchange in Carthage . Who knows what MoDot will do
@ I have heard Joplin and Webb City people want the 249 171 freeways to get an interstate designation MoDOT would probably do it if Joplin and Webb city threw a fit or if they pitched in the money
