Days of nostalgia. I used to take the train from San Juan to St Mary’s College. Walk up Frederick Street and Pembroke srreets. Very fond memories of the public Library. This was heaven for me. I still remember when the first Woolworth store was opened on Frederick Street.
We were always a special place. Blessed by his own hands, it seems. I hope the present style would not last too long and we survive this dark moment, to emerge as that blessed place again, to show the world what TNT really should be.
This musical piece, done at a slower tempo, is an example of what I am always preaching: although we get engrossed with the lyrics many kaiso compositions are notable for the sweeping, almost classical, melodies the composers came up with. This Portrait of Trinidad is only one example; Kitchener has many, as does Lord Blakie,,,,,melodic masters. You have to bow down to them.
Beautiful rendition of one of Trini's best calypsoes and pianist, enjoyed it, thank you, from Trini/ Montrealer
Thanks a million man.

Your words still ring true day, probably even more so.
Many thanks for these beautiful photos of Trinidad. I wished it had the year it was taken. I can only assume it was the 1920's.
Thanks DePaninMe for this wonderful music. Thanks Aldwin for you great contribution of classical interpretation of our calypso.
