My grandma passed away a week ago, and we had her funeral yesterday. This song played during the funeral while showing pictures of her, from her first year to her last. This song carries so much emotion by itself, but now to have the memory of my grandma entangled with it, it makes me play this daily (preferably on repeat). Absolutely beautiful, just like my grandma.
Last Monday, a security guard got killed in a gun case in Pickering Casino, and on Wednesday, my dad and his coworker attended the remembrance of the security guard, and one of my dad's coworkers started to sing this song in tears.
My grandpa passed away last week and they also played this song during the funeral. His last wish was to come home, but he died in hospital. My grandma decided that his coffin shouldn’t be delivered to the cementary and that’s it. She decided that it should be delivered to her at home and then his cementary stood under an old tree he planted so many years ago (he was so proud of this tree). Then they played this song and after that he was brought to the cementary. We could somehow forfill his wish to come home one last time. I cried because it was cruel and wonderful at the same time

I bought a violin yesterday and plan to play it for her in FaceTime while she looks out her window in Idaho at all the ❄️ snow and here in California it’s Sunny. She’ll appreciate her snow more. She’s only been there 4 years and she can already wear shorts in 55 degree weather😋
