You REALLY want to know about the suffering of a mother Bigfoot? Go and watch the Patterson-Gimlin film. But the part you DIDN'T see was her digging in the ground for HER baby that they had hunted, killed and skinned the day before just so a trophy hunter could get his prize. Patty had been shot the day before to be slowed down and separated from her baby and in the part of the film we don't see she's digging for it with a stick. Makes you realise just WHY she was filmed for so long and why she kept turning around and watching the guys filming her? No, I did not make this up, but I was listening to Steve at "How to Hunt" read out a letter from Bobby Small, whose book is being read on "Bigfoot Case Files" and who was VERY likely killed because of what she knew about the people behind the film and the logging that these people wanted to do in the area. We humans can be relied upon to get what we want regardless of who or what we hurt. I replied to a comment by "bear zip" who appeared to have some additional information than Steve. I wrote as "Allira" and I believe the whole shameful episode to be true!

The pictures and music were perfect for this story Cam, as usual. I so enjoyed this story as it's a believable reaction to the situation of losing a child. Suspenseful ... loved it. Thanks Cam.
Did you write this? Whoever did...I’m still in awe as I write this comment. The author should devote his time to writing. I don’t care if it’s short stories, historical fiction of just plain fiction, etc., I’d buy every book. If it’s you Cam, I can see why everyone that read anything you composed tried to steer you towards writing. I LOVED it. Let who the author was.
Bobbie Gentry grew up in Mississippi near the Tallahatchie River. The same river where the famous and original real-life Tallahatchie Bridge mentioned in "Ode to Billie Joe" was located. In 1967 she became an overnight sensation with her release of "Ode To Billie Joe." The song describes a family having dinner while the discussing the suicide of Billie Joe McAllister which occurred earlier that summer day. The mother explains how the local preacher claims he saw Billie Joe and his girlfriend (who looked much like the daughter/narrator) throwing an object from the bridge. The song is meant to juxtapose the tragedy of suicide with the trivialities of everyday life. It examines our indifferent, desensitized and callused attitude towards tragedy and how we see it as an opportunity for social commentary and gossip instead of meaningful introspection and discussion. The song has new meaning in our social media age where tragedy streaks across many of our newsfeeds and we simply react with emojis. So, was this something that actually happened in Bobbie Gentries life? No. While Bobbie Gentry admits the story is fictionalized, she did explain that it was inspired by the 1954 murder of Emmett Till. Till was only 14 years old when he was shot and thrown over the Black Bayou Bridge in Mississippi for offending a woman in a grocery store. The bridge mentioned in the song soon became an attraction and many attempted to jump from it. However, no casualties were ever reported since the bridge was only 6 meters high. The bridge collapsed in 1972 but was later rebuilt. In 1976, the song was adapted to a screenplay and made into the film "Ode to Billy Joe." It enjoyed relative success and brought in $27 million dollars. Even though people know the story is fake, people still insist on asking Bobbie what was thrown off the bridge. While she says she knows, she refuses to tell anyone, saying it ultimately doesn’t matter.
@@cherylfonseca1218I always thought that she and Billy Joe had agreed to get rid of her sleeping-crutch the stuffed dolly. He basically told her it was time to grow up. I could be wrong.

They made a motion picture of the song too.Didnt see it though.
@@QuartzDiamond86 ...I would love to see a movie on that storyline. I will look for it! Thank you.
WOW! What a great story. I really 'felt' for that Bigfoot mama losing her baby. I wonder just how much of that was 'real', but- no matter- Great story nonetheless!!!
Just an 'ppreciative one of Your People, Cam!!!
Straight up Awesomeness,
'Nuff said.

@@michellesartori6695 That was Bobbie Short, but i liked your comment.
Oh wow! Stunning! Incredible story and so incredibly told. You had me hanging on till the last word! That's going into my 'best of the best', folder! Cam you on fire buddy!🔥👍❤️😊

Had to go back and listen to the song.
I'm still reeling from this, wow!
Oh my goodness! I hung on every word, my heart was pounding and when it was done I realized my mouth had been hanging open! That story drew me in and I could see every thing happen in my mind’s eye. The author needs to get busy writing and if they have anything in print I’d buy it in a heartbeat! Thank you, Cam for narrating this awesome and vivid story. Your talent just added so much more to the story! I’m going to be thinking of it all day!
I have always wondered WHAT they threw off the Tallahatchie Bridge! That was THE BEST story I have heard you read, the best. I can believe such a tale could be so...
Wow, this was an incredible story! So intense, reminded me of the days when late at night i was glued to the radio listening to shows like The Shadow. Great, great job Cam! Thank you. "And oh by the way" ... i don't know who wrote this but i hope hollywood comes calling for a feature film!!!
Yes! It was a great story.
Wow that's the best story yet
I'm honestly inclined to believe every
word of that smooth flowing story.
This story has the absolute ring of truth.
I have heard the song several times.
I'm glad to finally hear the truth, behind it.
Incredibly, exciting, excellent writing.
With a wonderful narrator a
win, win combination.
Thank you to the author and the

That made my day!👏👏👏

Wow just wow..no words man. You had me rivitted,.thank you for another great story cam.I think you found your calling...can't wait for the next time...
Ode to Billy Joe was one of my favorite songs I Still Know It word for word I'm 67 years old. Wow quite the story here I am speechless in Florida
This is truly the best Cam has ever done. The song came out when I was growing up on a farm in southern Indiana and I was the exact age of Bobbie Lee and Billy Joe. "Ode to Billy Joe" was a significant part of my teen years. Thank you Cam. Very well done.
What an incredible story! All my life I’ve heard this song and wondered why Billy Joe McCalister jumped off the Tallahatchie bridge. What an honor for his cousin to choose you to tell this legendary story! Excellent !
Oh wow! Perfectly written, perfectly read, you're doing "your people" proud! Thank you Cam.😊❤
Oh my gosh Cam, this was more amazing than normal!!!!❤❤❤
Cam, I felt like i was in the story. Your discription of the surroundings and such made me see everything clearly..as if watching a movie. You are a superb story teller, narrator. I didnt hear one mistake or stumble in your words. You have a true gift brother. Im looking foward to the next story!
Thanks!
... and me, I spend a lotta time pickin' flowers up on Choctaw ridge--and droppin' boogers in the muddy water off the Tallahatchie bridge.
Nose boogers, not wood boogers, right?
Jordan Coggburn 🤣🤣
This was the most compelling story to date. I loved every second of it!
Wasn't it amazing? Just fantastic!
This is exactly why reading is so extraordinary: words form pictures in our minds that appeal to our own personal sensibilities , desires and fears. This was an absolute delight to my senses, an inspiration to get back to my own writing. Thank you , this was wonderful !
I absolutely got sucked to this story
I visualize it all thru my mind.
I loved it so much
Listen to it a second time...
Thank you sit!
Thank you. You’re a great story teller. There’s nothing like having a good friend who can tell a good story well.
Wow what an incredible story!!! You never fail to impress Cam and all those that send in these fascinating stories. Hope everyone has a great week and stay safe out there my friends.
That was one of the best stories on bigfoo t i have heard. Your stories kept me going while I was in intensive care with covid. Managed to beat it and am now at home doing the garden to help with my recovery. I am in the uk and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I hope you and all your family stay safe during these dark times.Paul
Prayers for you, so glad you are recovering. And yes they are great stories
W O W -- this story and your vocal effects keep the listener mesmerized! The story about Emmett Till always saddened me... as does this one, now. I can not imagine the horror for those three! Thank you again for sharing your talents and an emotion gripping tale!
Cam, that was a great story and you did an excellent job telling it. I was spellbound the entire time I listened to it. I could visualize everything you described, from the town to the sawmill. Thanks for the recognition of Emmitt Till.
Absolutely wonderful story which “explains” one of my favorite songs!!!!😁😁😁😁😁
The pictures and music were perfect for this story Cam, as usual. I so enjoyed this story as it's a believable reaction to the situation of losing a
child.
True story
Fantastic story!!! Listening to his story brings back memories of my youth in the south.
Great story! Listened to the song growing up but never in a million years would I have thought it had to do with a bigfoot. Loved the scenes in the video. Can't wait to your next one. Stay safe.
I think it's so funny the way you narrate the girls voice in the story.it made me laugh. Another wonderful story. Thank you XOXO
Damn dude! I listened to this I bet just an hour after you posted it. Used to love that song in my senior High School year. Always wondered like everyone else, what they threw off the bridge. You really outdid yourself with this story. Beautifully written, well told in that honey- smooth style of yours that makes it such a pleasure to listen. And it humanizes the sasquatch situation so well. What the hell are ya doing reading other peoples stories, when you can tell yarns this good! You tied this one up all nice with a big bow!! Loved it, bro! Keep up the great work.
They threw their baby off the bridge.
Very very well done! Quintessential American story telling!
That was the best yet, that was awesome. I wondered all my life, when I was listening to that Song, what they threw off the Bridge.
Wow. This was an amazing story. It was very sad. It had me on the edge of my seat, and then in tears! The way it was written was so wonderful. I’m really impressed! I feel so much for the 3 main characters and all the families too. I truly hope that writing this out, and getting it off his chest, at least gave the man who wrote it some peace. Just a terrific story. I really enjoyed it. Thanks so much, once again, Cam! The way you read this story was nothing short of excellent! You can not do wrong in my eyes!!! Thanks again! Those 2 songs kinda remind me of each other.
I can't believe that someone took a made up story, and made a story about a story that's not even real. I thought I was bored. Thanks for the story of a story. Well written, good imagination

Outstanding! I was mesmerized. I love that old song and now will cherish it even more.
Wow, wow. Speechless.

I think I've listened to this story 4 or 5 times now. For myself, family and a friend. Cam, this has to be The Best story you've told to date, and the best I've heard in a long time.
I absolutely LOVE that movie and the spin that the writter put on it!! When I got the notification with the title, I wanted to postpone making dinner for my family, but alas I did what all good mothers do and started their supper. Thank you Cameron for a another great story and a distraction from the long days from being shut in for way too long. What's the name of the movie? Is it about Bigfoot? Thank you in advance✌💖
@@mommyshark1124 no it's not about Bigfoot, lol. Cameron just rewrote it with a Bigfoot twist. Ode to Billy Joe is the name of the song in it and I believe that is the name as well. You can Google Billy Joe McAllister jumped off the Tallahassee bridge and find the song (I listened to it on TH-cam after watching this video) and the name of the movie I'm sure. Hope this helps. 😁

Another great video Cam, I was on the edge of my seat listening to this one! Thanks DC.
Wow Cam, in telling this story, so many historical points in it. The Emmit Till reference, and the store. The song " Ode to Billy Joe" remember that song. Will listen to it again for reference to points of your story Cam. One last request, Cam where, when, and who wrote this story ? One suggestion, would you consider doing a video on these questions ? And to cap it off, play the song that inspired the story. I believe the story is real.
