    For those of you who don't know, John Dehlin just made a follow-up video, yesterday on 07/13/2023, on this topic of Tim Ballard and the Operation Underground Railroad organization. It was an interview with 2 Vice journalists, followed with an interview with Lynn Packer. It helped flesh out some details about what has happened in relation to the OUR org, the investigation into them, details about the assertions by the former employees and associates, the org's history of questionable fundraising methods, notable figures who have subsequently broken ties with the org, etc. I'd recommend listening to that discussion, for anyone interested in seeing this whole thing -- esp. the issue of child trafficking -- through a larger lens.

    When I was 14 and going to the evangelical church I grew up in, I noticed how terribly common it was for +20yo men in the congregation to look for underage girls with the parents' permission. It felt like people thinking of their children like puppies they want to mate with someone, literally one lady offered her 16yo daughter to my older brother and an older cousin (they were 17 and 19 at the time) like she was offering some clothes or product. Every time I think back of that time I feel so enraged that this was so ingrained in that church and feel glad most of my family left years ago. It's a sad truth that predators mostly feel safe at churches because of these systems.

      In my county that does not happen unless you are a man of money. If you are like us, my family, you have no chance to marry some of the girls inside. I heard and witnessed many bad marriages because the person love d someone from a different social background. Married to someone of her class just to be miserable. And guess what? Can’t get divorce because of the family position in the church. My cousin didn’t marry her love because my aunt didn’t think anyone was good enough for her blue eyes, blond hair girl. Well, that didn’t go well either. She got pregnant and had to marry the guy that was not even a Christian. I love God, but I hate religion.

I thought I could be of help but their website was all about giving them money or doing other things that didn't seem to have much to do with rescue or prevention. Given that the majority of these pedophile sex traffickers operate online one would think his group would be into what I and many others did or are still currently doing. But they seem to have a closed group and aren't interested in "newbies". It seems odd to me.

  • @NicoleUntch
    @NicoleUntch ปีที่แล้ว +26

    The people who get up and arms about investigating and criticizing OUR don’t realize that it’s not that there is a problem with WHAT they are doing and stand for but a huge problem with HOW they operate and spread their message. With the lack of transparency from OUR it’s difficult in good faith to donate to them when the money from us and the government goes more into fundraising, stockpiling, and fear mongering than actively working to save children and educate the public appropriately. I don’t doubt that it started with amazing intentions- but the road to hell is often paved by good intentions.

    I came across some of your video podcasts in late 2023 and became quite interested. Not because I have any connection to Mormons, but because I was brought up in an orthodox church setting. Many things brought up by guests in your podcast, I can really associate with and does help me to come to terms with different things that happened to me as I was growing up. So I continued to binge watch a lot of your episodes. Then I came across your video of Tim Ballard and noticed you had this video from 2 yrs before the movie came out (which I did watch) and decided to track from the beginning what all this fuss was about
    Keep in mind, by 2023 all the hidden money that the Mormon Church has been hiding has had the whistle blown on that. So if Tim Ballard was using money by fraud was nothing that would hurt the Mormon Church at all. So I did "yeah, whatever" through all that and all the political stuff, as well. But when I did open my ears, is when you had brought up that the abuse in the Mormon Church is probably more common than "stranger danger" and I had discovered that was a real problem from watching your podcast. Then why did Tim Ballard not fight to combat all that abuse within the Mormon Church of which he is a part of and had to know about? Now you do have my attention, and I totally agree, why was he not more concerned about the abuses that were happening right on his own door step?

For someone who actually studied these events, its very difficult to believe your world view when you've not researched, in depth, the stories you're claiming to be false. And no, I'm not talking about Q or Tim Ballard. I'm talking about most of the other topics you've touched on. For example: If you think Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide then you have lost all credibility. Thinking that there is no conspiracy is just as stupid as thinking everything is a conspiracy.

I remember seeing a news report about heroin making its first appearance on the streets in a city that is local to me, and speaking with someone who struggled with it and how rampant it's distribution was, how easy it was to access, and that struggle happened 2 decades prior... numbers are routinely distributed in a way that misrepresents problems, and it's sad that they rely on those... especially considering how for so many years the UN and other affiliated orgs have systematically eroded laws that make it enabling for pedophiles to have greater and greater access to children for their sick desires to be fulfilled... I'm not saying that everyone involved in these things are saints, but I'm saying it takes a lot of hard work to keep the demons at bay when you need to live in the trenches with them for long enough... I'm speaking from experience in other dark places and I really hope that people take these kinds of "deep dives" that are so steeped in politics with a grain of salt...

      Sex abuse and trafficking is EXTREMELY prevalent in Utah. That's part of the problem. Tim Ballard's organization doesn't even acknowledge it, and in fact, Tim Ballard literally gives financial support to an organization who actively promotes sex abuse. The LDS church has unapologetically been HUGELY involved in perpetuating abuse, protecting predators, and silencing victims. There have been countless sting operations on LDS bishops taking advantage of the underage members of their congregation, and in many cases, the church has gone out of its way to protect these people. Many victims that form forward about abuse are excommunicated and silenced. Nobody is saying sex trafficking isn't real. It's very much the opposite, and it's a tragedy that there are people like Tim Ballard willing to make money off of it while doing nothing to prevent it from happening in our actual communities.

    I am surprised that there is not more outrage regarding Mr. Packer's view of Blacks/African Americans based on political affiliation. "Uncle Tom" is an extremely offensive term to call a member of the African American community. I do not care if a member of the African American community is Liberal or Conservative, either way, they should not be called a derogatory and racist term. Shame on you Mr. Packer!!! Shame on you!!!

    If you'd just stuck to talking about the made up numbers, fearmongering, sketchy behaviors, and exaggerated success, you'd have had something here. This conversation became so much about this guy's personal feelings about almost everything but Ballard and O.U.R.. Undermines credibility to a phenomenal degree to try to tie in mask wearing and whatnot to the question of whether this organization is doing what it claims it's doing.

    I was thinking, that it was "luck" that nobody got hurt on these raids (outside of the unsuspected "rescued" victims, who are probably scarred for life) but then I realised, that it's more likely that TB wouldnt engage a "fight", unless he is sure, that the "criminals" brought only their bare hands to his machine-gun fights.

      It's Black pp* not "Blacks" and it is offensive for wp to call a Black person, an "Uncle Tom". Most wp just dont have the range, leave the intra-community calling outs slang to other Black pp. There are more neutral phrases, that wp can use and avoid being unknowingly offensive.

      Yes & their credibility is called into question if they fell for “the global pandemic”, effectiveness of masks/social distancing, making light of other kinds of child trafficking other than sex (labor/organs!), thinking Epstein actually killed himself or doubting the island existed or was for any purpose other than vacations, looking mainly to entrenched establishment sources (UN, WHO, CDC, DOJ, etc) & “justice” system court trials to “prove” evidence (news flash: elites never see the inside of a courtroom!), not digging deep into these pedophile rings for themselves (MANY made it to court w/CONVICTIONS like Dutroux etc). Have they ever viewed Instagram pics of “Jimmy Comet” (including the ones showing the underground basement being dug to “store tomatoes”)? Do they realize tunnel systems/DUMBs are all over the world? Have they heard of Jimmy Saville? The Finders? The UN trafficking scandal exposed in The Whistleblower? Are they familiar w/Wikileaks? Do they know what a psyops/false flag is (for ex, the “pizzagate shooter”). Do they know how the MSM weaponizes/manufactures “news” to serve their masters (predator class) by driving public opinion to cover dirty deeds or push an agenda? For journalists/researchers/investigators, these two are so disappointing.
      I DO believe the info re: Ballard being a grifter &/or worse, but the rest of this immensely-long interview needs to be edited onto the production room floor, to salvage their respect & credibility.

TB has openly spoken about how he has gone on very expensive missions that ended up only being able to rescue a single child and have netted very few arrests, but I honestly don't care about how much money it takes, just that the work gets done... ask one of these children if they care about how much money was spent and whether they would see a problem with this... I guess you can put a price on human life...
