Love this classic movie. So many great movies from Corey Haim that doesn't have a DVD release. It's a damn shame. Luckily we have it available here and I truly appreciate it because it's my only way to revisit it. I've watched it a few times now and I'll continue to watch it.

Like you mentioned, the overall "lack of / or limited availability" of various Corey Haim flicks in DVD / Blu-Ray format is truly unfortunate. Many of his films (even these days) can only be found on VHS... and Dream Machine (sorta) suffers the same archaic fate. Believe it or not, 'Dream Machine' did indeed see a limited number of DVD's pressed (in some foreign country I believe), and even a Laser Disc version surfaced at one point. Strange, I know. Err, good luck finding either of those iterations of this movie... heck, even on EBAY for a reasonable price. Thankfully however, plenty of Corey's flicks have (at least) been given the DVD treatment and many of these can be found with minimal effort. Whatever the case may be, utilizing modern equipment to digitize these older VHS Tapes and the accessibility of TH-cam helps to keep the preservation of these classics from yester-year alive for folks to enjoy. Anyhow, perhaps one of these days I'll finally get around to posting Corey's 'Fast Getaway'... also from 1991. Take Care. :)
i found a place about 10 years ago that was making high quality dubs to dvd, with covers that looked exactly like the real thing. bought dream machine, fast getaway 1 and 2, and a bunch of others that never came out. it got shut down shortly after!

I'm 51, and if Corey was still alive he'd be 51 or 52 so I'm cool with getting older because I admired seeing someone my age so successful. We enjoyed being kids and the best music ever was made during that time.

i saw this movie on upn, one saturday back in 1997. had no idea the movie existed, but wound up being transported back to a time when movies were fun, and we were happy teenagers. haim made really fun movies back then...and it was great to see this again, and feel like it did back then to be carefree.

I love Corey !!always have and always will. I still cry watching his movies or interviews. It breaks my heart knowing everything he went through and how he was treated. I was really so touched to go back out to the agency and spend a month... And I finally heard COREY'S bird talking and singing I loved hearing his bird talking and singing so much I'll never forget that he turned his bird loose out there good habitat for it I was just very grateful I know it's a very expensive bird so beautiful to hear sing and talk.... I will always miss him I missed him ever since we were in school together at Stella Mayfield elementary in Elgin Oregon I have missed him so much over the years I'm so sad when he died that I went out to the agency and stayed there way over the camping limit even got a ticket and told him to f*** off I'll never pay it ever
Agreed. Although, Corey once mentioned in one of his interviews from years ago, that even despite not being offered bigger budget films to star in once the '90's hit, he was still able to take-on roles that he "thoroughly enjoyed". Not to mention, his robust library of work (with many created on B-movie dollars) still allowed him to keep his career alive at a time when his personal life (sadly) became a problematic affair. Bottom line, his overall talent / ambition far exceeded the quality of many of his lower budget flicks. Anyhow, his bright light was "most likely" extinguished too soon and he's definitely missed. Ha ha, no doubt. Dream Machine is always a great movie to watch around the Autumn Season when the leaves are changing. It looks as if this film was filmed around Fall, since he's driving his Porsche through fallen leaves and also the Campus Rush at the beginning of the College Year. Take Care.

Mine was Garbage Pail Kids: The Movie! That was the rage during the 80's & early 90's. There has to be ONE person on this planet who still has the entire collection of trading cards from Topps. One of those GPK cards from the 80's in mint condition is worth roughly $7,000. I have all 13 episodes of the CBS cartoons on DVD as well.

I take it Corey Haim was a huge Porsche fan. I don't think it's a coincidence that he drove Porsche 911 cars in both this film and Blown Away (1992). He is missed. I wish I had the chance to meet him.

I really like this movie to me it has a great storyline and some really exciting action packed moments, I love when he and his date are being chased by the bad guy!
I remember seeing this movie on video library and having to rent it when i saw it was about hot girl and Porsche.. became one of my fav movies eventually bought the rental vhs. Corey was clearly talented actor he will be known more for his more successful movies though. Successful car movie of his was Licence to drive. He would have still been a top ranking actor till his day if it wasn't for his drug addiction. This is when he started doing small budget vhs films

He’d have been able to save his career in the 90s if he’d have had decent representation and not taken any offer he could get for these b movies. He’d have been perfect in clueless or scream or any of the higher budget teen movies at this time. It’s a shame he never got a second change at feature films

I was in High School when it came out and thought Britney Lewis was the Prettiest Girl in The World at the time. I thought Corey Haim was so lucky!! He got to star in this movie with her & Honey from Fast Getaway in the same year!

Anyhow, you're right about 'Dream Machine' being somewhat difficult to track down these days - even on DVD. I'd say that Ebay is probably the best route to travel for this flick, and I'm even aware that a giant-size 'Laser Disc' of this movie exists from back-in-the-day. Ha ha, no doubt. Dream Machine is always a great movie to watch around the Autumn Season when the leaves are changing. It looks as if this film was filmed around Fall, since he's driving his Porsche through fallen leaves and also the Campus Rush at the beginning of the College Year. Take Care.

Mine was Garbage Pail Kids: The Movie! That was the rage during the 80's & early 90's. There has to be ONE person on this planet who still has the entire collection of trading cards from Topps. One of those GPK cards from the 80's in mint condition is worth roughly $7,000. I have all 13 episodes of the CBS cartoons on DVD as well.

I take it Corey Haim was a huge Porsche fan. I don't think it's a coincidence that he drove Porsche 911 cars in both this film and Blown Away (1992). He is missed. I wish I had the chance to meet him.
Couldn't agree more... definitely a genuine guy who touched the lives of MANY. Anyhow, you have a keen eye after watching his films - as both flicks were definitely sportin' the older 911 body-styles. Needless to say, I'm sure he was a Porsche lover (at least to some degree). Take Care.

I really like this movie to me it has a great storyline and some really exciting action packed moments, I love when he and his date are being chased by the bad guy!
I remember seeing this movie on video library and having to rent it when i saw it was about hot girl and Porsche.. became one of my fav movies eventually bought the rental vhs. Corey was clearly talented actor he will be known more for his more successful movies though. Successful car movie of his was Licence to drive. He would have still been a top ranking actor till his day if it wasn't for his drug addiction. This is when he started doing small budget vhs films
