  • This is a portion of a 1960 interview between Buster Keaton and Studs Terkel. In this clip, Keaton is asked about why he started wearing his famous flattened hat. Keaton discusses his childhood years in vaudeville and how it being thrown around the stage prepared him for all those crazy stunts he did in the silent era.

It would be called 'cruelty to children' now but both Buster Keaton and Jackie Chan (and Sammo Hung) grew up the hard way with tough parents or teachers. And they produced amazing comedy stunts.
Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

Buster died in 1966, so how was he interviewed in 1968?

Well busted was able to do anything throughout his life. And if was asked for interview after he died he would gladly come back the answer a few more questions. This man so many cat lives. Just sitting through one of his episodes and seeing all the amazing stunts he did in it, you would say man that's enough one lifetime but he keeps coming back with more amazin energy and stunts. What an amazing legacy and thanks for your channel and for TH-cam for putting it all for us
