  • my dears, it has been far too long since i’ve done a chill vlog like this and it was genuinely one of my favourite days. please grab some tea, thrown on a cozy blanket, turn on a warm lamp and chill with me!
as i mentioned passionately in this video, i have been obsessed with ACOTAR (a court of thorns and roses by sarah j maas). it’s been a while since i’ve read a book and i just had this sudden craving to read. so many of my favourite youtubers have been talking about this book so it was the first one that came to mind when i got up and walked to the book store the other day. here we are, on book three: a court of wings and fury!
thank you sarah j maas for reigniting my reading flame and awakening me to my inner fandom for the fantasy genre.
if you've read the books, please let me know your thoughts and chika with me :)
msg me - always down for a lil chat 🫶🏼

omg wait I was a twilight girlie too hahahaa! I can't get behind Sarah J Mass' writing tho. I have to give ACOTR another shot

i swear every chica in our generation wasssss 🧛🏽‍♀️ (were you also team jacob when you were younger then switched to edward when you grew up and realized how toxic jacob is? 🤣🤣)
okay I’ll agree with you on her writing style; lotta cringe moments *BUT* the secret is reading it in an english accent- idk what it is, but it makes it far less cringe 😂😂😂 it might be the twilight nostalgia that does a lot for me

Suzume is an awesome couples watch, I experienced it on shrooms and it will probably be one of my best cinema experiences Ive ever had. Also tell your bro the Legend hopes hes doin well

no way 😂 i mean i can see how that enhanced your experience hahaha but what was your takeaway?? i haven’t had a chance to deep dive into people’s analyses but i tend to enjoy movies even more after i do that
i will pass it along and let you know what they say 😁
edit: i just realized you said suzume - not the boy and the heron! suzume was wild; much more epic. buuuut i have to say, i felt like the plot was a little redundant. visually tho, it was pretty dope

@@ellie-jane Sooooo I had to leave the theatre because it felt like 7 different meanings and I was emotionally exhausted 3 quarters of the way through. Didnt even touch my pop or drink either XD.walked out of there and almost had a meltdown in the bathroom stall.
I recently rewatched on crunch and it was not the same movie I watched before. Ending was kind of cliche, but art and design had me tearin up somethin fierce. The studio somehow creates silent points in all of their films where it feels like youre in a vaccuum. Tbh it screws with your brain in a weird fantastic way.

omg i love your comment about it feeling like you’re in a vacuum at some points - very accurate. but yes, it was over-stimulating towards the end and i, myself, wanted to leave being sober, so i cant imagine how you felt 😂
