We are getting ready to go on a 7 day cruise out of New Orleans and while on Facebook saw an advertisement for Solgaard Luggage. It looked amazing but you know how ads can make anything look cool. I pulled the trigger and BOUGHT the Check-In Closet and the Endeavor LifePak (with closet) YES they are expensive but quality luggage usually is. They are also in demand so usually once they get a shipment in they sell out quickly. So let's check these things out together and see if they're worth it.

I have the carry on closet and check in closet. They are amazing. Built amazing and love the closet. Will be ordering the backpack which also now comes with a new “relux” material and in a smaller version if you want. Thanks so much for having the ONLY packing video with the Endeavor backpack in it! One thing….. I suppose to due the popularity of all this Sologaard stuff, it’s a bit long til you get it…even if it doesn’t say “weeks” on their website. Even the in stock stuff seems to take about 4-7 days to start to ship and then it’s about 5 more business days until you get it… so don’t expect anything quick. But it’s worth the wait. Thanks Adrian S for making such great stuff for us! And thanks for the review LFTC!! Was an amazing review and really showed how much room is in these things.

Do you carry on closet and check in closet match in color? I read one review from someone who had the Granada Green in both, and they said they didn't match. Hoping that was a fluke.
I finally got my items. You were right, this is some top quality luggage right here. The backpack is roomy, but not bulky and the luggage is well built. Really like the closet feature.

My daughter travels a lot due to being on the competitive snowboard circuit. This set would be ideal … BUT, I worry that it would be super easy to exceed the 50lb limit because of the ability to pack more into the largest case. She hasn’t yet finessed (she’s only 16) the art of packing light, and she hates unpacking. So for us, this solves one problem but possibly creates another. LOL
I bought a luggage scale off of Amazon and carry it with me in the luggage. That might be a good way to to keep the weight in check.

I appreciate the review. All of the other Solgaard reviews I've seen have been done by guy who look like they could pack a weeks worth of clothes in a regular carry-on bag. I need a bit more room than that since I clock in at 6'1, 240 pounds, and I am chaperoning my daughter on an extended school trip. The Check-In Closet looks perfect for what I need. Thanks again.

I really appreciate you making this video review. Seeing you pack as a larger man sets realistic expectations for other normal people. Some women pack enough to clothe and take care of an army! On the other end if the spectrum, some people are so small or pack so minimally, that of course the bag looks like it can hold everything you need with barely anything in it. Your video is better than the one that the luggage company made! Seeing you unpack was actually so incredible and strangly satisfying. It took no time at all and you could tell that your wife was impressed! Was it easy to use the hanging closet for your day-to-day closet? Was it easy enough to take things out/ put items back in every day as needed or was it annoying/frustrating to do everyday? Thank you for sharing!

It was not a challenge using the closet at all after we did laundry on the ship we just packed it back in there no problems I did come out with a new video, showing the difference between the carry-on and the check in and maybe you’ll find my son using it and it’s every day use at the airport satisfying as well. @@TonysVarietyChannel that's good to know that it was easy to use on a day-to-day basis. Lol I know "satisfying" is sort of a weird word to apply here! But once you use compression packing cubes, or those plastic space bag compression bags, and spend 15 minutes trying to force all the air out to close it every day, your method is simply better in every way. As a young adult, I was excited to go on a vacation, and didn't mind fighting with those compression bags. Now I want to just spend more time enjoying my vacation instead of packing and unpacking. I love the check in closet but I wouldn't want to compress to avoid wrinkling. Also I read on the Solgaard site something about locking with a pass code. I like keys over passcodes because in case another person must get in without my help, I don't have to count on the person remembering the pass code or remembering where the pass code is written down. just add the keys to wherever they keep their other keys and in fact have extra keys put elsewhere. similar to not putting your cash in one place.
I wonder if the water bottle holders on the backpack accommodate bottles that are a little larger than average. may current backpack has stretchy mesh bottle holders and so far hold every regular size water bottle. I do love the strap in the back to slip over the handle of the closet bag. My current bag also has a small, flat cold pack which holds at least 2 average size water bottles, which keeps things cool for longer than in the external compartments. I would use a luggage dolly but I'd need something like bungi cords to keep everything on the dolly. Maybe I can find one with extra parts to eliminate the need for the bungee cords.
I guess the pass lock versus keys can go either way because if you lose the keys, then you can’t get in it either and I understand the pass code as well. It’s very easy to change the pass code. You just flip a little switch on the inside, set the pass code that you want and then click the little lever back and it set. The water bottle area does have some stretch to it. In fact, on the last cruise, we shoved our flip-flops in there. I usually carry a 40 ounce aluminum bottle in there and it fits with no problem. Some of my items to get wrinkly, but we carry a travel size downy, wrinkle, release spray, and it works perfect on the cruise ships.
Hey guess what? The TSA 007 lock on your suitcase can be opened with ease with the small side of a paper clip- so don’t stress about a key that can get lost!

I picked up the Cary on Plus for my wife due to her OLD carry on (no name brand) blew out a wheel and had zip ties as a grab zipper to close it LOL, She Fracking Loves It!!! Where going to pick up the Check In Luggage and I will get the back pack! Great job on your review!!! Well done!

Wow, I have been looking for a replacement for my old heavy fabric samsonite check-in suiter. My old unit has built-in collapsible shelves that made packing easy and travel usage functional. I absolutely loved it,. However, travel weight restrictions and aged repairs make my unit obsolete.
A year later, the luggage is still holding up great, couldn’t imagine traveling without the hanging closet anymore.

I did get her one, lol. You might be pushing it having 2 ppl using it for 8 days, not impossible depending on what you pack. If you’re going on Carnival maybe, they have washing machines on the ships you can use.
I was not sure to buy this cool luggage because here in Japan it’s not that famous and there’s not much info about this😭 thanks man, your review helped me soooo much and decided to buy it!

Just in case you are watching like I am in 2023 😂. If you are going on a cruise, use that backpack cube for swimsuits and what not like he did. But, also for essentials that you will need when you first arrive on the ship. You will get your room well before your luggage ( like hours before). So pack the BP with that in mind.

That’s a great idea for the zippered part of the luggage to use a vacuum sealer bag. I’m going to have to try that and fit even more in there lol.
Those that own this luggage, do you find that you're able to fit more items in with the closet feature than other brands?
Hi there, I am a pilot so travel regularly, my wife is the flight attendant on our private jet, and we both have the Carryon Closet. I recently took my three day travel clothes out of the closet section and put them into packing cubes, can fit exactly the same amount of clothes. Without either a packing cube or the closet you can fit one more T shirt in, as the closet tales little space if you lay them in with the wire closet shelf support at an angle. Love their products and I am buying the Lifepack Endeavor and the Check in Closet on my next US trip.
If you’ll put your shoes on the wheel end, your “fancy” shirts will not be sqwushed by your shoes and Dopp kit! Will the drawers hang in a closet, or does it have to hang on the suitcase handle?

I have this bag. I do not like this bag. I pack the closet and I compress it down and it turns into a curved mess. I've had it on several trips, and I'm trying to give it away to my sons. They've witnessed my frustration with it. It is made of good quality material, but I'm finished with it. I have the large check baggage case. That I like.
It does takes some finesse to get the closet straight. Thank God I have a big belly to help hold it in place to push it in.

Would have really loved to see the endeavor packed to the max to see how much it can really carry and be cinched down! Also, which size endeavor is this - 18ml or 27? If it’s the 18, does it also have the option to expand like the 27ml?
It’s the 27ml. It does have a zipper and gets a lot bigger, sorry I didn’t pack at four I was just putting our bathing suits in it for the cruise but there was still a lot of room left over. 😀
I have the endeavor and use it all the time, I can fit 5 days worth of clothes, sweats take up a lot of room though. I can fit one paid of shoes after I fill up the closet. I can take everything I need with the back pack and carry on case.

Just ordered both items because of your review. Have you flown with the check in closet? I’m a little worried about the latches and rough handling through the baggage process.
I have not flown yet but I can tell you the cruise ship people were not the most gentle with the bags, don’t worry about the latches they’re very strong!! You’re gonna absolutely love how easy it is to pack and unpack!

Have a question for you! Did the medium check in closet hold 50lbs of clothes? Trying to figure out weather I should get the medium or large.

It depends on the size of the clothes and what kind of clothes you can fit 50 pounds worth of something in there just depends on what it is. I am able to get five days worth of clothes in it for me and I’m a large guy with large clothes. And it came in at 46.2 pounds.
I'm curious as to how much your bag and contents weighed at the airport. Was it over 50 pounds?
How much did that checked in bag weigh after you added everything? Thats always my problem.
48 pounds, I carry a little digital luggage scale just to make sure.

This is an amazing video, so thank you for it. Question if I may have missed it? Would this fit as a carry-on or is it too big?
The one in the video is the check in closet so you have to check it in it’s too big, they do make the carry-on plus which is a little bit smaller (we just received it) and it’s made for carrying on the plane. The backpack you could carry on obviously
