It's a hidden vehicle. you have to be playing on co-op and legendary. Plus you have to start from the beginning of the entire level. Since a lot of people ask me this question, ill post the video as a video response to this video. I will also post other hidden vehicles as well.
You can always check my other video if you're unsure. But to get the ghost, you have to start from the beginning of the level on legendary an co-op. After you get to the second part of the level (the one after you kill 343 Guilty Spark) you head out of the building. Before you go up the hill on your right, go left and down the stairs. Right under the stairs, you will find 4 Ghosts. Hope that helps!

@marc7425 I hope you're kidding because Master Chief is right on the front cover of the game. He's also on the disc and in the background of the main menu. Plus, it says Master Chief all over the back of the case... I think it's pretty obvious Master Chief is in Halo 3. You should've noticed that years ago when Halo 3 came out.
there are a lot of secret areas on the last level on halo 3 but this one is by far the best and i was surprised with you driving the ghost on this level, i will have to try it. good job
At the very beginning of the level in the snow, besides the skull, you can find this little room resembling halo CE's style alot, and a computer with a message in it saying stuff like, failure, great journey, blah blah. I think Arbiter made it or that douchebag grav hammer brute from halo 2. Can you check it out?
use the camera and fly up to the top of the mountain. Face the frigate. Fly towards the base at the other mountain. The plasma rifle might just be one from the flood cause when you splatter them, their weapons may go flying so im not sure. You can check if you want and if it is there, we may have found something important.
I got the ghost from outside of the room where you kill the monitor. I dnt feel like explaining in detail but you can watch my other video which explains how to get the ghost. I was playing on co-op so the Arbiter isn't there. The other players would be playing as Arbiter but they died so it was just me.

well if u go into camera mode and you move to places where you normally can't, you will find a random plasma rifle lying around and a random grenade on the ground.
Wow I think that big box hole was a ship dock like a dry dock of some sort and the chief looked preety scared of that glich I think you scared the chief for the rest of the halo series xD
you never know... people can have dreams... and besides, there is a death barrier that keeps pushing foward and if you stay behind too long you would eventually die.

wow cool!!! me and my cuz got here in a warthog by accident looking for the funny grunt. we were still in the warthog at around halfway past the mountain and i was driving and he was in the turret. i accidently drove off the edge but he got out and survived then kept exploring on the metal beams and stuff.
@Zarzanator It's big enough to have its own atmosphere apparently. And why have a gigantic, ring-shaped arboretum on a megastructure capable of cleansing the galaxy of all life is anyone's guess, really. Maybe it was a hunting preserve before being converted into a super-weapon...
To get the chopper go in legendary and its to your left as your avout to get on the platforms that fall. The ghosts are under the ramp outside the door from inside area with Guilty Spark but you have to go through the lvl in legendary to get those. Under the ramp outside. 4 of them. ^_^
1 question, the halo on the last level was currently being built right and wasnt finished rigtt? then those metal plates are like the ground underneath the ground? and so how the heck does halo get snow and shit?

All you have to do is have you and a friend ( or three) beat the mission on legendary from the beginning. After you kill spark go out and down the LEFT ramp and you will see 4 ghosts behind it.
yeah there is a grunt who says he hates you in this lvl, if you are near the ship go to the right, walk over a little edge and you see him, just walk to him and do whatever you want:)
to get the ghost you have to play the level on legendary. Once you beat guilty spark and you exit the cathedral, head left and go under the ramp, there will be ghosts right there.
ok i officially found a banshee, u have to get the ghost all the way over there, oost up the mountain, when u get to the part were the metal is sticking out, get on top of the metal, and when u get up there, grenade the ghost up there, then drive the ghost off the metal, up to all the way to the top of the mountain, then, if you zoom in on the frigate, there is a banshee on top, or it is just something purple and green, idk
