They don't give AflyingF, it's all about pumping up the drama for the $$$, it's a reality show and any personal feeling of a fighter aren't even considered. Stuff just like this is why MMA will never be taken seriously as a sport outside of the demographic niche they already hold solidly. As long as Dana White and his underlings are in place at UFC, MMA as just one e.g. will never, ever even have a chance of becoming an Olympic demo sport, sadly (the incident with the bus being attacked with zero repercussions other than being used as promotional material... that's mickey mouse regional promotion-type shit with no place in actual sport). This WWE-type shit means MMA will me relegated to being looked at just like so-called pro-wrestling promotions, like nothing but a poor-regulated and often poorly- PED-tested (fighters popping with no long-term repercussions, and their camps being given heads-ups for when testing is coming so they can plan cycles around the testing) blood-sport. Add in some of the outrageous scoring in certain jurisdictions means it is often just as fixed as WWE as well (like when a marquee fighter from a market they are trying to expand into wins a fight on points that they obviously lost to anyone with eyes). When a promotion shops around for locations based on whether testing will be done or not, there is a huge problem going on.

They don't give AflyingF, it's all about pumping up the drama for the $$$, it's a reality show and any personal feeling of a fighter aren't even considered.
Stuff just like this is why MMA will never be taken seriously as a sport outside of the demographic niche they already hold solidly. As long as Dana White and his underlings are in place at UFC, MMA as just one e.g. will never, ever even have a chance of becoming an Olympic demo sport, sadly (the incident with the bus being attacked with zero repercussions other than being used as promotional material... that's mickey mouse regional promotion-type shit with no place in actual sport).
This WWE-type shit means MMA will me relegated to being looked at just like so-called pro-wrestling promotions, like nothing but a poor-regulated and often poorly- PED-tested (fighters popping with no long-term repercussions, and their camps being given heads-ups for when testing is coming so they can plan cycles around the testing) blood-sport. Add in some of the outrageous scoring in certain jurisdictions means it is often just as fixed as WWE as well (like when a marquee fighter from a market they are trying to expand into wins a fight on points that they obviously lost to anyone with eyes). When a promotion shops around for locations based on whether testing will be done or not, there is a huge problem going on.
