I know this video is three years old but thank you! I am about to start printing these parts. -- Question.. What cable and why did you have to solder it?
would it be possible with the length of the stock wiring to move the mainboard to the front for easy access? using octoprint, so probably don't need the sd card at all now and this is awesome!
Appreciate the video. Nice tunes too. Just got a CR-10 last week. First 3D printer. Upgrading to 10S mainboard, then 2nd z-axis, filament detector and leveling sensor. Printing out an AIO kit. Since I'm stripping the controller box, I need to print out four little cinder blocks, box atop, snap a pic.
Can you share the link to the screws you use, please? I want the screw heads flush with the printed surfaces for the aesthetics. Thank you! Edit: I just found links in another comment, disregard my request, lol.
Could you detail how you put your filament spool holder on your z axis? I like that placement and want to do that for mine. Looks like you used the stock holder and just moved it off the control box, but how did you secure it?
Hi, there. I simply removed the support that was installed on the box and through 2 nut m4 inserted in the structure I screwed it in that position. Thanks for the video, it helps a lot. Just wonder if you have a list which parts used from the original RISCS 3D project, as there are quite a few options. I have an original CR-10, and would like to print out just the correct parts. Thanks.

Hello and thank you for subscribing! I didn't use cable extensions but I used the original ones. On the stepper I inserted a fan because in my case it was very hot after hours of printing. The other steppers, on the other hand, do not heat up very much .. Keep following me!

@@cosmochannelvideo I think lapidations was wanting to know is, Do you mirror just the power supply bracket? OR mirror all objects being printed for underneath the printer bed?

Out of curiosity, I checked my printer. No fan blows air on the heated plate. I've been using it for months now and I haven't noticed any problem heating the plate.
You're right. If I was talking about the old videos I was making, I would turn the music volume too high! If you look at my last videos, the music is much lower and in the last one it's really absent!
Great job rectifying a hideous design! Very helpful indeed!

Ciao. Penso di si ma non ci metto la mano sul fuco ;-)
Cosmo Channel grazie, sembra facile da fare e ben fatto. molto più facile seguire questo video con i sottotitoli in inglese.
i know this may be a long shot do think could adapted for the Hictop D3 hero plus becasue its basically the same.
Does it affect the maximum printable height, mounting the spool holder in the fashion that you have?
By mounting it like this, you lose about 6 inches in height... I never mould objects taller than 10/15cm...
Can those mods, be good even for the CR10 V2? Should be almost the same of CR10
