In part 2 of our remote Fiji camping adventure, we start the day out catching mud crabs in the morning. Then we get out in the boat for some GT popping on a hot bite. We manage to keep the girls happy by finishing off the day nicely in Catch n Cook style with a beautiful Spanish Mackerel.

Bula, I always wanted to ask what gear you use. Do you use mono or braid? Can you make a video one day about the gear you use and things like what knots you prefer etc. Vinaka
For GT’s I use PE10 braid with 150lb leader

Yes, King Mackerel are known as Spanish Mackerel in Australia. Obviously different to the Spanish Mackerel in the US with the spots.
Here in Fiji they actually call the Walu.
