Danny is a criminally underrated actor
Yep, the best on Community amongst a group of good actors. He deserves a huge career, not cancellations for shows where he plays a side character or endless voice work. Give him roles!!!
@@hwren9845 was gonna argue the point and say something like "well o think all of the cast ranged from good to great." But then I remembered that danni performed the nicholas cage freak out in season five. So yeah, You're completely right. He was the best actor on the show.
He deserves an award for his portrayal of neurodivergence alone, not to mention how talented and funny he is
The tiger hunter is great movie he did.
Man, Abed is so good at playing Danny.
Yup, almost too good.
this is totally meta
So deep
this is wrinkling my brain
This is streets ahead
this would literally be part of the TV show itself if abed was doing meta outtakes of a hypothetical actor on how to play his own character
didn't that happen at one point?
@@broadwaybibliophile1802 in the end thing in one of the episodes abed and someone else, I don't remember act like they're in a gag reel and like they messed up their lines but apart from that I don't think so
I was waiting for Jeff to turn up and ask what he’s doing
I used to do this as a teenager. I’d pretend I was a writer giving an interview on my work or an actor talking about how I play my characters.
@@svenicarus4872I’m trying this
People on the spectrum are usually pictured in pop culture as people who don't like others or even care about them. The genius of Abed is that, even though he's really proud and comfortable about who and how he is, he still loves people and wants to fit in and have friends. And that's the source of his insecurities and fears, which are a huge part of what makes the character so human and relatable. Also Danni's acting is just perfect. It's amazing how much charisma, emotion and nuance he injects into a character that most of the time shows amost no emotions or even facial expressions.
The chicken episode exemplifies that
that nugget of finding unexpected things genuinely interesting feels so true to my experience on the spectrum. I also love the opposite end of that (which I feel Abed also represents beautifully) when you have absolutely no interest for something, and you absolutely know you’re not supposed to say “I just... I don’t give a shit”, it takes every ounce of your energy to not say that, and sometimes you fail. But the people around you, if they’re good and kind (and the timing/situation isn’t horrid), they mostly just sorta laugh it off and appreciate the honesty.
Preach!
@@puckbryn3583 me too! I’m on the spectrum too, and the interest thing rings so true. Also, I’m an extravert. Abed probably isn’t, but his struggle to connect/care/be cared for, against the invisible social rules, really mirrors my life. I really appreciate seeing that in his character.
(Side note, I’ve practiced learning a couple of ways to say when I’m bored “politely”- “I appreciate how much you enjoy (thing)! It just doesn’t ‘hit’ for me, I’m more into (whatever u like).” Non autistics are usually good at reading the “hint” to change the topic.)
For real, I just got into the show and Abed is one of the best depictions I've seen of someone on the spectrum.
Larry, I’m on DuckTales
RIP Larry
Wasn't the interview with Dani Pudi the last thing he did?
@@vuki I’d say no. The interview blew up very recently but it didn’t seem like it was a fresh interview. Researching in order to answer seems to indicate it was from February
😂😭❤
And Mythic Quest
"Our Spanish teacher is Ken Jeong, who is hilarious..." *END OF VIDEO*
and a Spanish genius
If Danny Pudi brazenly lies, the video ends.
"GIVE ME SOME ROPE..."
nobody can break abed he sat there for 26 hrs just because he was being good friend.
But daylight saving can...
@@hongieyo and Nicholas Cage
But what about butt stuff?
And a cancellation of his favorite show
I just realized after watch this series again that it’s actually Abeds story. It’s really all about him.
Yup I watched it 4 times and it becomes clearer every time
thats deep
@@АделНариман
I just got goosies, I thought I was the only one. This was time three watching start to finish for me.
@@aaronburratwood.6957 I've watched the same show 12 Times 😳
I'm just to scared to start new ones
Well, it's everyone's story. Perspective.
Danny: Abed speks a little faster than me
Also Danny: *Talking with the speed of a machine gun*
How he just slips into acting instead of just talking to answer questions 😂
Abed was being weird. And by that I mean, he wasn't being weird
probably reading way too into this, but being on the spectrum this is definitely weirdly validating. there are certain things I’ve never understood that neurotypical people either just get or have an easy time learning, the pleasantries and small talk that I guess I’ve never seen the purpose of, not to say there aren’t reasons, I just don’t get them. but it also allows me to break down walls easier and just get to talking about things that actually matter to people.
I guess sometimes I think neurotypical people are weird (even though I’m the one who’s different in that way) and it’s nice to see that come from someone else
@@puckbryn3583 He was quoting a line from the show so yeah, you're reading into it.
@@senseweaver01 it's the same sentiment though, so are they wrong?
He was hugging, making eye contact, and hadn’t made a pop culture reference in 10 seconds
me watching this video
danny pudi is the best actor on the show
the best no, but that is one of the best he is for sure
Between how well written Abed is and how much soul Dani puts into him he really carries the show
Danny Pudi is the best human on earth
The characters are all performed perfectly but Danny and Alison are the only ones who seem to be completely different from their characters, which does make it all the more impressive
@@bobobsen Donald Glover seems to be very different from Troy
So the breakdown is “he finds everything genuinely intriguing,” and that explains why I relate to him so much where other autistic characters have fallen flat for me. I know not everyone on the spectrum relates to his portrayal, but I have been told I have a lot of enthusiasm about things and that’s just because the world is such an interesting place all the time. I love Abed so much.
Same!
If I really analyse the way abed’s autism present I don’t relate that much, but just watching show is such a cathartic experience for me, it is so great, and I’m very thankful to have found this show and find an autistic character I actually relate to
same here!
Why am I crying in my coffee?
Which is absolutely a dang luxury. Someday I’ll afford to join the awesome socks club!!
"The Abed way of interacting with humans"
I like that
Fact
Abed might be the most interesting character on the show. He can't understand people because they're so random. On the other hand, popular culture has structure. So he tries to understand life through pop culture within a show, making him the personification of the metta aspect of the TV series.
danny pudi as an actor is simply streets ahead.
I'm glad to see other autistic viewers (like me) love Abed. He's a very genuine person navigating the world with boundless curiosity, even if that means he's a bit of a hellion to his friends sometimes.
Even in an interview where he has no director, he channels abed so well. Dani has so much talent
Abed has all the makings for a very annoying character, could have been unlikeable if played by the wrong person, Danny did such a good job!
It's nice that materials like this are not gone. Seems that Dan Harmon would rather burn all of Community archives than make a movie at this point xD
You mean release the community archives? Not burn?
@@Gibbypastrami I think he meant to like burn through all of them by releasing them.
He's said that he wants to do a movie but it takes a long time to get such a project off the ground. He can't just pull a film out of his arse and send it to the cinemas
As an actor and human, Danny Pudi is CRIMINALLY underrated
This is abed talking about how an actor would act doing is character.
😂😂😂
danny is so genuinely hilarious i love him in mythic quest too, only actor that could make me like brad’s screentime
This is why abed is the best character. I do hope they post this for other characters though.
Six seasons worth of clips behind the scenes footage bloopers and a movie!
Exactly
Behind scenes is the series and the series is behind the series. It's the same backwards and forwards.
#SixSeasonsAndAMovie
let's do a petition for danny to win an emmy!! Reasons: if you still need to ask then you are streets behind
Abed was a perfect role for him because I can’t really imagine any other roles that would have been able to regularly give him chances to showcase his range
I never realized how big the Community resurgence was. Sure, it is on Netflix and of course I rewatched it 3 times since then.
But all this TH-cam content and stuff really let’s me hope the best.
The show always was streets ahead for me since I first saw it 8 years ago ❤️
Danny Pudi’s acting for Abed is ON POINT. He perfectly captures autism/Aspergers and does it in an amazingly accurate way. SO UNDERRATED!!!
Abed stares at people a little too long, and I dont look someone in the eyes untill I've been talking to them for like an hour. 😂😂😂 (Iknow I'm insufferable)
I'm the same way. People think it's disrespectful or rude but I'm just a little insecure and it takes me a while to feel comfortable with someone before I can look them in the eyes.
"I'm sorry, WHAT??"
-Me at literally every other thing Dani Pudi said.
I just finished watching community and now I don't know what to do with my life. The last episode left a hole in my heart
I would say watch the office but it isn’t on Netflix anymore. Unless you don’t use Netflix and use peacock
Schitt’s Creek then back to Community
Troy and Abed in the moooorning
plot twist this is abed pretending to be the actor who would play him played by the actor that actually plays him
and danny was secretly abed playing an out of character version of himself being danny
Can't stop watching this video over and over again.. Danny is so adorable!!
Yep, it’s a stim 😂
You know there is a string community fan base when there are no dislikes
The think I like the most about Abed is that he wears hoodies most of the time. I really love hoodies lmao
Would that this hoodie were a time hoodie!
HES so fine omgg
Would love to see an Abed impression of Danny Pudi
He reminds me of Keanu Reeves don't know why
Abed is good at playing people, even Danny Pudi.
Abed being such a meta character makes it seem like Abed Nadir is playing as Danny Pudi...
Weird seeing Abed not being weird lol
It's great when an actor drops their character, and you realise the skill they have to bring that to the screen.
Cool, cool cool cool Abed is my favorite character!
I heard the video forward is the same as the video backwards!
I heard this was both part of as well as not part of the series
I heard the behind the scenes were the scenes and the scenes were the behind the scenes
Six seasons and A MOVIEE!!! WHERE'S MY MOVIE!!!???
One of my fave TV show characters!
Abed playing a guy talking about playing Abed
YOU KNOW EEVERYONE LOVES ABED IF IT has 1k likes and zero dislikes!
3:17 how I explain where I’m from in another country.
MOVIE
is this a new interview? i've tried to watch everything related to danny pudi and i've never seen this one before
It seems like something that would've been included on one of the DVDs but I've never seen it before either. Hopefully they'll upload more of these early interviews.
Just an archived interview
I loved Danny in Community so much he played Abed so well and all his small movements like the way he'd talk with his hands or move his mouth made his performance perfect
This video made my system stop working. Like, I see Abed but hear Danny. And also kinda see Danny...
I am convinced this is Abed oretending to be an actor named Danny Pudi playing Abed
Wait, is this new content? For some reason I never saw that

Troy and Abed in the Morrrrnin’
He’s so talented and expressive!
Danny's EYES.
i just i i i love his eyes, they're so pretty and shinny and wow
This guy is pure talent
Little did he know that his show would be one the most sophisticated TV shows ever made. And funniest
Abeds the best character #sixseasonsandamovie

The one dislike is white Abed
I absolutely loved to see 0 dislikes right now!!!
There is 1 now
@@thunderfist232 I hope you didn't do it 🙃
Not me
danny pudi nation
why is he in character? 🤣
danny is alot like abed but weirdly hes kinda like danny gonzales too idk he just has that danny vibes to him
thats what i thought!
Make a movie about a movie about a movie of a teacher in city college..and the teacher is Abed!
his eyes are so gentle and mysterious...
Why is it that Dani Pudi talking normally reminds me of Abed's Nick Cage impression? Is it the fact that he talks more slowly?? I have no idea why this is
danny is abed if he had a little more social skills, thats it
he is so precious i love him so much
Holy crap, 3 days and no dislikes!
Sooooooo Danny Pudi is Abed on cocaine.. yeah that makes sense
I relate to Jeff, Troy and Abed
It is weird how while explaining Abed he is just explaining people with autism. Or, one type of autistic people. Personally, I hate eye contact and meeting people in real life. Do like fiction though, that is fun.
Dang. Danny’s been playing abeds character too long that now, this is just Abed trying to impersonate an actor named Danny. i love it.
His impression of Nichols cage is probably my favourite abed scene
Abed *is* the show. sure, Jeff’s the lead, but only because Abed deems him so.
I'm definitely autistic... I relate way too well to abed
SIX SEASON AND A MOVIE
Im in love
im sorry but with the set in the background and being in costume i cannot see him as Danny lmaoo
abed is so meta
I love abed and danny pudi both so much.
I had to verify that the playback speed was normal 😂
Can we make a Plastic Man movie for Danny Pudi to star in?
Remember. Abed is the only one that scored a normal score on that test they took
Cool cool cool love this character
i really cant see this guy as someone else like my man is just abed im sorry dude XD
I just came to say I love Danny and I love this show. I really want to share that with you guys
COMMUNITY is one of my all time favorite shows! Danny Pudi is really a funny guy.... I wish I saw him in more stuff.
This is part of the show right?
movie 👀
WE NEED A MOVIE
Wow! Abed is really good at pretending to be an actor that plays Abed!
Why is the outro music (Community intro theme song) pitched up, on the official Community TH-cam channel...?
