    well done. the only guy who did a very simple demo. great stuff. Only thing that was missing was how to save it , the new styles & songs, in a folder for easy recall when playing live. many thanks David.

    Thank you David. Anyone who has a PSR S710, may try the combination of Rec CH and the bass, rhy, phrase buttons at the same time, otherwise it sits on the percussion. Got the quick tute from michael at Yamaha Sri Lanka. The execute does not appear on the top screen of the S710. The execute only appears in the "Quantise screen". For me at the moment, it is "Delete, Delete, Delete" but getting there, one less than the 99 already tried :)

    I just got a psr s950. I am very exited about the sounds and rythyms but am somewhat overwhelmed by trying to manage or get the keyboard to do what I want. I found the owners manual very tedious and not very helpful. Your video is by far the BEST info I have found as basic instructions on how to navigate and learn a few basics. But I want more of your instructions to take me deeper. I cant help but believe there are hundreds like me who need that also. is there a way to have the pre programed styles follow the key patterns of the melody without having to enter the chords with the left hand? In your next video please go into how to take songs from a cd, put them on a memory stick and enter them into the keyboard and then erase the voice. I have lots more questions if you like which could be covered. when word gets around you would get thousands of views I am sure. thankyou for your clear and easy to follow instructions on how to instead of just showing off what it will do like all the other corporate videos. regards , Geno

    THE BEST DEMONSTRATOR I have seen todate. Like the way you keep the focus on the screen to see what you are doing. Well done. Hope to see more tutoriuals from you David. How can I use the foot switch to, stop startr and on/off the harmony David? And to modify the styles with my own bass line and drums/percussion. ? HELP!

      In the controller mode (Function - Controller) there are a few options for changing the function of the foot pedal.

    hi david, thank you for upload. it is a great help. i have s950 and would appreciate if you upload more tutorial to uncover amazing functions like this...Please do one for the " Music Finder'..i don't quite understand the purpose of this compares to registrations..thanks in advance for your excellent job.

    • @DavidBeinert
      @DavidBeinert  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much!
      The Music Finder is essentially a way to quickly find a style that fits a song you are trying to play. There is a list of songs, or rather names of songs that have the style already matched up. Once you press on the song, the style and the sounds are ready to go.
      Hope that helps.

    Dear David - Do you know if the the S970 has the same 'Quantise' function of the S950 ?? - Both look fabulous keyboards but I'm torn between the 2 and not sure which one to have for my standard of playing ! Your videos are excellent - thank you for any assistance

    • @DavidBeinert
      @DavidBeinert  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +gingerladyaubern
      Yes, Quantize is a standard feature in all PSR S series arrangers.
      The S970 has some new sounds and styles. it also has a new expansion option for Audio stlyes from Yamaha. The new speakers sound really good on the S-970
      Otherwise the differences are not significant.

    Great instrument. Just purchased the PSR S750. Does anyone know how the create a style. I know he demonstrates how to in this video but he only creates one. If I create part A and call it Mike, when I create part B do I name it the same? If not how do I pull all these parts in to make it one style? Some one please help. I tried to get the online reference manual but for some reason I can't get to it. It says it downloads it but never displays anything. Someone please help.

    I am thinking of buying the PSR 750. What is the difference in number of sounds and styles between the PSR 950 and PSR 750. What are the main differnces between the 2?

    • @Scood
      @Scood 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is no difference between the sounds, the main differences are that you can play MP3 files on the 950, plug a microphone in and you have a colour display, in which you can tilt up or down :)

    • @DavidBeinert
      @DavidBeinert  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mike Marrs
      The PSR-S950 has all the sounds from the PSR-S750, but the 950 contains articulated sounds and Audio styles which are derived from the Tyros. Another advantage of the PSRS950 is the ability to import WAV loops into the pads.

    • @bobn1944

      Also the audio speaker system is of a higher quality on the S950

      David B Not Exactly. The main feature of the 950 vs 750 is the Vocal Harmony. You can connect a MIC, sing and the keyboard will produce a realtime vocal harmony depending the chords (among other things) played. Another plus is the color screen vs monochrome screen of the 750.However it is very important price difference between 750 and 950...

    Trying to ask a little advice here from owners of S700 if you might know how to solve this:
    Only had the PSR-S700 a few weeks and would appreciate some advice from guys well entrenched with it.
    Putting together a backing track using just style & chords. I have managed to get the first verse together as per page 162-on of the manual.
    How do I repeat all the info again for the 2nd verse (same as first).
    Surely one doesn't have to just follow on line for line repeating what was on the first verse?
    I thought it might have to do with punch in/punch out but that's a correction process only yea?
    What would be your advice ? Rgds Robert

      This procedure is described in the style assembly section.
      I will make another video soon to demonstrate that.

    How do I save foot pedal switch function? Would like to set my foot pedal 2 to "sync stop" setting. No problem setting it up, works fine however it only works on the style chosen on my set up. Lose it when I change styles, power down, et.
    Thanks for any help.

      Hi Gordon Barry ,
      You would need to save the pedal function individually in the Registration Memory bank.

      This function appears in the Style Assembly tab of the Style Creator. The step by step operation is described in page 33 of the Reference Manual (under Style Assembly). Hope that helps.

      David B No it doesnt answer my question really, i
      meant if i start a new style from scratch, ok now follow me ill make an easy example:
      Lets say that i have just recorded a 4 beat long bass pattern on Main a, now how do i copy the Main a bass pattern to Main B Bass pattern. I mean my own created parts and not parts that are built in to the keyboard.
      Also if David doesnt know how, could some friendly youtuber help me, you can contact me on mr3dfred@gmail.com

      I completely understand what you are trying to do.
      The operation of copying your parts to other sections of the style is done through the Style Assembly menu.
      It would be easier to show you how to do that in person , but the step by step instructions are in the manual.

    Dear David - Hello again - OK, I have had my PSR S-970 for 5 months now and love it - May I ask, is the '950 style creator' process (for my own styles) exactly the same for the 970, so by watching your demo here, I can simply follow, copy it and learn ? I find the supplied ref books a little confusing at times if that makes sense - best wishes and thank you :)

    • @DavidBeinert
      @DavidBeinert  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      The operation of the sequencer on the PSRS950 is a little different than the QY100 but you can still create 16 track song sequences.
      Check out the step by step operation in the manual on page 62.
