I bought mine in 2017. It’s a fantastic keyboard I have my own custom sounds in it people are constantly amazed at what I can get out of it and I always tell everybody I love this keyboard it’s always in tune.
Hey Blake, I have owned several PSR keyboards in the past more than a few years and have done several hundred local gigs. They are great instruments. Here is what I would like to see in the next generation. 1. Get rid of the speakers and amplifier as they add useless weight, take up valuable real estate, are anemic at best, and distort easily. Any musician worth his salt brings real amplification equipment to the gig anyway. 2. Give it 76 weighted keys instead of the 61 and you will have a serious piece of equipment. Casio has a digital keyboard with 88 weighted keys and still come ins at under 30 lbs. 3. Maybe offer a home entertainment version (61 flimsy keys with speakers) and a professional version 76 weighted keys and no speakers. With the chord analyzer this work with an Android pad?
Aishwarya Dahale psr 's 970 is it suitable for recording and live it's just an awesome. ...no doubt to buy it...and moxf6 is just for band performance and recording. ..better buy for solo performance. ..psr s970 is best
Can any one educate me about how to use YAMAHA PSR S 770 as midi controller in ABELTON. As I am very much beginner, I was not able to assign it properly. I was just able to controll few parameters but that too very limited. If any pro level keyboard user can help me out there. Thanks in advance.
What is the computer you use, you may need to download the Yamaha USB-Midi Driver and you need to get a USB-A to USB 2.0 cable (Printer Cable) Plug the cable into the "To Computer" output of the Keyboard and connect the other end to the Computer you use. On the PSR S970, when I use the voice harmonizer, I play a "one finger chord" to get the correct harmony on my voice, but I also get the annoying chord sound that goes with the one key. How can I kill the sound to just let the harmonizer smell the chord with no other added sound?

hey everybody, is anyone familiar with the S750? I'm trying to export a recorded performance (my father's keyboard) and i would like to know what the best way is to go about exporting from the S750 to wav in Logic Pro X. Is it possible to export to a multitrack performance (or even to just a stereo file) over usb, or is it better to export to wav inside of the keyboard? I can't find anything about this in the manual, it refers me to their website where i can't find anything. Any help or a link to a solution to this problem would be highly appreciated. I haven't got a clue where i can find any of this inside the keyboard. Thanks a lot.
It has 128 mb of memory to load audio styles but they doesn’t offer audio styles packs! Also you can import your wav and soundfont files but you can’t create super articulation voices or Megavoices, Why Yamaha? Why? You don’t put latin instruments like tres cubano or charango but also we can’t create good latin instruments sounds because there isn’t a option on Yamaha Expansion manager to create megavoices or super articulation voices. Its very sad :(

......Have been using Yamahas' PSR's (800, 3000, 950) for years and Tyros 4.... ....drums sound like cardboard boxes when compared to my Korg PA900.... Yams......good for home....not for 'live' gigs....no offence meant-....just my opinion

...Stephen.....It's not just the drum sounds..the whole Korg 'style' seems much more alive and real...just like playing with a real backing group...Not perfect but the Yam styles are a bit 'twee'.... too nice...to busy .... So much so that since getting my PA900 I've gone out gigging again after just playing at home for many years with the Tyros (since sold off)... Nothing against Yamahas - lovely sounds on some instruments...unbeatable...but for gigs no-one really cares that your Sax is real or your Piano is a Steinway... The rhythm section bass/drums/guitar(s) are the root of a good band...That's where Korgs come into their own....again - just my opinion....
Wait... Chord tracker app? Isn't that what a sequencer is for? This is the lamest Yamaha upgrade since the Psr2000 to 2100 to 3000. I'll wait a few years for the real upgrade with sliders, more assignable buttons, and SA2.
I think because it has the App that is going to analysis it in writing chords . in which i think it is awesome. I'm assuming that you prefer not to have a second party between you and the Instrument ( TAB ) in general it is excellent idea as a second storage and an additional option in case you need to use it . you don't have to use it .
I just wrote a few uncomplimentary words about the PSR S-950's and the S-970's poor touch sensitivity, and you know what? My post was deleted! I looked carefully thru them all, and mine was missing! Is it possible that TH-cam is being paid by Yamaha to delete "negative" comments about it's keyboards? Maybe Yamaha doesn't believe in freedom of the press. I intend to post THIS one everywhere possible, in retaliation!

Yamaha may not go with hardware sliders cause they tend to fail and brake. it's going mostly be buttons and touch screen.
