Hi Vanessa. Lovely vlog as always. I always like to see your village. I too will have to try my hand at embroidery soon. The large centre panel of an appliqué quilt I’m making is a Tree of Life using William Morris fabrics. The tree is finished with embroidered and tiny beaded insects, a snail, a worm, a spider and a dragonfly at the top. I’m rather nervous as I’ve never embroidered before and don’t want to mess up the panel. I’ll have to have a few practice try’s on scraps first. You made it look easy, but I bet it is harder than it looks….ha ha. Raewyn

What a great idea to practice the embroidery detail on a different piece of fabric first, I don't think I would be brave enough to dive straight into the panel without any practice! The daisy embroidery was quite simple to do with lots of guidance from the embroidery channel listed in my description! Oh Vanessa, what a beautiful video! I am really enjoying the content. I always like to see your garden view across the fields. I had to stop for a second and think to myself, I too have a lovely view across the marshes and in the far distance I can see cruisers on the river. At this time of the year, the greenery on the trees does not allow me to see that far in the distance. I am not really a baking type of person but always like to see the cooking segment of you video. You always make it look so good. Carl is very fortunate to have you in my opinion. Glad you are trying out the embroidery. What are you going to be making? I have self taught myself and made several embroidered cushion covers which I bring out every summer and put on the sofa. I love doing French knots. Every time you bring out the fabrics for the Kantha quilt I drool over your beautiful choice of fabrics. They are just stunning. Oh well, back to my hexies.... Big hugs, Sophie
