@@williamamonette1430 god tell me about it with gas prices righ now for real. in midlo too just started fishing over the summer and havin bad luck now that its winter...ancarrows is the only place ive caught anything yet this winter, but nowhere else on the james on either side of the fall line. ive looked around for random roadside lakes and ponds cuz i havent paid to get into pocahontas since the early fall. is swift creek reservoir at the genito rd bridge put off parking lot worth it? ive noticed on t he reservoir lake map that the main channel cuts str8 thru at that part of the bridge to the tomahawk creek finger. still its a commitment gas-wise. im in the city part of southside today so im goin to ancarrows

Byrd park has a great place for catfish. There also swift creek reservoir and miners park. And a few ponds in Powhatan

We normally only fish for bass around Richmond and for salt we go to Yorktown it ocean view
