i5 1st generation isn't a good choice at all. i5 minimum 9th generation or i7 8th generation. If newer model can be afforded, better. RAM minimum 16 GB, SSD minimum 256 GB. Again, bigger the better.
Do you recommend bass traps on roof corners and where to place wool panels on roof? Room Size 12x14 with 2 windows on 2 adjacent walls and sliding UPVC doors on other wall.
Windows on 2 adjacent walls gonna be a little troublesome, not gonna lie. Ceiling treatment is a must, above the listening position and desk. Roof corners to be treated all the sides if speakers any bigger than 5 inches or so due to your specified room size.

Foam is rubbish as a bass trap. Acoustic engineers recommend 6 or more inches of rockwool or similar sound absorbing materials for bass trap with air gap equal to the thickness of the sheet. 4:44
