not done yet but just wanted to say thank you these are so helpful!!! literally never touched blender before and i have a complete model in front of me within a few hours by following these!
thank you so much for this series!!! it has been so helpful to me, you are a great teacher and have great pacing. so excited for the next installment! :D
I don’t understand where you got the image that you combine with the uv mapping or whatever. No shot it’s just created on its self ? So like if I make my own how do I get that part ?
Make sure you've set your View Transform to "Standard" under the Color management setting in your Render Properties and make sure your material is set to Emission! :)
mines still doing this after i finished the UV's the colour hex in the videos is #adceff and mines #a9c6ee my view transform is standard and my material is set to emmision plisss helpppp
@@buddyaxel244 hmmm, if you're using the Eevee/Eevee Next render engine and still getting this issue I would post screenshots of what it's looking like in your Blender in the #3d_art channel in my Discord server, which you can join right here: discord.com/invite/T2snJde
thank you for this i am starting to learn how to make low poly models and this uv tutorial has opened my mind to the fourth dimension. it is very practical
Honestly, everytime I UV unwrapped and textured, I used Unwrap instead of Project from View. The moment I saw what Project from View did, I genuinely almost crashed out. Here's to learning new stuff!
hi! i'm trying to figure out how to explain this problem to ask my question: after i select "project from view" and place the faces, if i click off the faces in the 3D viewport, it disappears! i'm not sure how to make it stay on the map even when i'm not selecting it? i hope this makes sense
Gave up when the emission was only emitting white and not the added texture with the connected nodes, had the render port set up with how it should be and it just didn't fix anything even when moving the vertices in edit mode for the projected unwrapped uv onto the texture
Hey i’ve got a question!! When I go into render mode the colours on my model look more saturated than the colours on the uv textures I made, is there a way to fix that??
Is there a way to use transparent textures for this? I tried with emissive texture but it doesn't seem to work, instead it makes it makes the transparent parts black :c And the regular material is shaded so it doesn't look as good
@@SleepySideshow I found out how! In the shader graph you add a Mix Shader (With Shift + A) and put the Emission output on the 2nd shader, then you add a Transparency BSDF (With Shift + A) and connect it to the first shader input in the Mix Shader. You then connect the Alpha channel of your image into FAC, also in the mix shader node. Then you connect the Shader output of the Shader Node into the Substance in the Material Output Node.

UV wrapping is my biggest opp fr
my texture is being applied to the model not to the uv unwrapping panal I don't know why it is in the texture paint menu

Yet again the GOATED teacher on another video.
Getting into Blender and enjoying your series. Thank you :)
I'm glad I knew about uv unwrapping before, I felt quite excited when exposed to this.
Your teaching is so good. I feel I can learn anything if you explain it
This what weve been waiting for!!
my mind is blown ive been so freaked out by uv's for so long hahahaahahahahah this is a game changer for meeeee

Your tutorials are amazing you made this really easy to do and have been explaining everything really well.
Please make a video on how to draw the Textures .

Ik im concentrating in the wrong part of this video, but that "Me!" when he was going to talk about Gumroad was so fucking cute omfg
amazing

Im not too sure what I’ve done but when I put the texture on the model it looks a lot darker than it does on the uv map, is there any way to fix this?

Have always hated uv unwrapping, still doing it for my game design major at university lol
I figured out how to uv map the rest of the body. It was a great tutorial, and it turns out I was just confused by the techno jargin from other vids.

that's normal! Simply select all your faces in edit mode by pressing A, then adjust your faces in the UV editor as needed :)
@@CrashsuneAcademy thank you for answering! i think i'm somehow still doing something wrong, but i'll keep messing around with it ^^
What’s the name of the website/application you use starting at minute 1:20? nice video!

Dude what if you're not using that specific texture?
Gave up when the emission was only emitting white and not the added texture with the connected nodes, had the render port set up with how it should be and it just didn't fix anything even when moving the vertices in edit mode for the projected unwrapped uv onto the texture
Main problem is probably that I'm texture painting it myself in blender instead
Hey i’ve got a question!! When I go into render mode the colours on my model look more saturated than the colours on the uv textures I made, is there a way to fix that??
I think That's that option he mentioned toward the start of the series about how blender renders.
For this type of works its better make the UV manually than use the mark seam and use all de unwrap, non?
is this material Godot compatible ?
call me crazy but i went ahead and tried UV unwrapping the model for myself
You mad lad
How do you make it so that the face is no longer mirrored 😭
apply your mirror modifier! :)
okay but its the mabel sweater for me lol

thats something i want to know too because i wanna eventaully make a ghost to add to my game so if you find out please let me know
