it's true that I'm highly introverted and can get quite socially avoidant/ anxious, but I find being in the public where people don't know me and vice versa, the anonymity of it all, to be less intimidating, though I do get embarrassed at times when recording myself talk to a phone and people pass by. practice makes progress~
