- Blue Angels at Winter Training Tuesday 3-5-24. Warm and nice today with two over the field flights, this video is of the morning flight. If you look at the thumbnail or watch the Diamond Dirty Loop you can see the Boards or Speed breaks on the side of the fuselage.

なんだか前回から間が空いたせいなのか、迫力が増したように見えました。
演目も途切れることが無くて圧巻でした！
だんだんとスピーディーで機体同士の間がどんどん近くなって、「これが本場のアクロバットだ！」って感じで興奮しまいました！

The SuperBug doesn't have speed boards like the old legacy did.. It uses a combination of flaps down, ailerons up, rudders in, to create drag. Those little boards on the LEX actually function as trim to stop the 'pitch up' with the rudders toeing in. The really cool thing about the digital flight control system on the Super vs Legacy, is the pilot just tells the FCS what they want, and the controls move to give that response. As an example, no matter the speed of the aircraft, it always has a maximum roll rate of 220 degrees per second. It also makes the slide into the slot easier as Stalin just stands on the rudder, and the FCS moves whatever it needs to in order to give her pure yaw input. The old Legacy would roll couple like crazy with rudder input.
Aren’t the rudders towed out vs in when the boards are called for?

It has a picture that shows the E/F in speed brake mode with the rudders toed out.

Thanks. There is only one practice Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 2:00. Yes, on the east side of the base.
