Just To be honest, we've been using 60hz lcds for years and have never had a problem, and now they're better than ever, it also gets 2-3 more hours of battery life than the due to this. Also, this tablet will never suffer from Screen Burn In, like the s7 Plus. There actually a lot of good reasons to purchase this tablet. Even now. A Brand New 128gb 6gb Ram S7 FE is $399us, while S7 Plus New is $550. Which is quite substantial to the average consumer.
There is a noticeable difference in performance between the 5G version and the Wifi only version. The wifi only has a better processor and thus doesn't seem to experience the lag from the 5G version when even playing games, and even emulators
Remember, it doesn't have the fingerprint sensor, so unless you are planning to remember and type all your banking passwords on all apps each time, think twice before buying. Also it's way too heavy to be held as a book reader in one hand for bedtime reading... I upgraded from an thin lightweight S2 tab with fingerprint sensor and am still reluctantly trying it out.
I think the fact that it has an lcd screen is a good thing. As someone who tends to keep devices for years until they get slow I really dont want an oled screen that burns in. I have not made a move on buying this tablet yet but I have seen it in person and the screen looks great!

Just bought my Mom the S7 FE 12.4 128gb edition that was on sale for $190 off the regular price. Seems like a good buy that she'll be able to use for many years to come. I have the S7+ myself which I use for work and personal but both the S7 and S7+ were still full price when we went to check things out today at Best Buy and she didn't want to spend that kind of coin. Decent review but it almost seems that the Reviewer forgot how much cheaper the FE actually is vs the S7 & S7+ and no mention that the FE can charge up to 45 watt with the proper charger.
It's now sold in a bundle at our local Costco. I expect sales to follow before the end of the year. Costco seems to be the only store that moves a lot of Samsung tablets, but only when they put them on sale.
As someone who owns the S7+, why on earth would you the same amount for the S7 FE, when the S7+ now cost the same? Samsung really messed up with their pricing on this one I'm afraid.
I'm on T-Mobile - one of the deals they're running right now is a Tab S7 FE 50% off upon the activation of a line for it at purchase of the tablet. I haven't bought it yet, but I'm thinking about it because of this. I'd only have to pay $275 for the device, and $2.5 a month for the line with my employee discount. At the end of the 24 month period, I'd have only spent $60. I'd setup a line for it anyway regardless of the promotion being present or not, so for me, it makes much more sense to get the FE right now.

Did you know if you download Theme Park and Good Lock from Samsung Galaxy Store you can create your own Themes? I create themes from the artwork I create on it. I have Tab S7 but likely the same applies.
In the UK it's advertised as the budget version of the S7 from last year, so at least some store are doing it right! (O2) and it's about £25 less a month too.

I would agree with this until you think about the Galaxy fold. Also the bridge between small tablets and big phones is getting smaller each year. My guess is that manufacturers don't think its worth their money developing such a product. If Samsung's galaxy tablets were more popular I'd say that would do a competitor to the iPad mini.
Ex-Costco employee here, they don't sell, smartphones are 6.7" now, they didn't sell when they s2 came out, less so now. People that want a small tablet usually have a laptop or similar but the majority of people want a big tablet with no laptop or extras, just a phone and tablet.

Sadly almost every flagship tablet nowadays don't have one only the budget ipad or the ipad mini are popular tablets that I have a headphone jack come to mind.

Got the 128gb wifi only model for $350 with tax! It's good for me but if u need better performance then go with the S7 tab. It would have been sweet if the FE had an amoled display🤔

I’m sorry but your review lacks details about the product. You don’t mention that there are two different models (5g and WI-FI Models) and the WI-FI model has a more powerful processor 778 g. It also supports 45 watt fast charging and now you can buy this model for a good discount and the tft lcd screen is actually quite good. A really nice 12.4 inch tablet with sale prices of $429.00 for the 64 gig 4 gig model, $469.00 for the 128 gig 6 gig model and there is a 256 gig 8 gig model for a little over $500.00. No one else but Samsung offers a 12.4 inch tablet for these prices. Best Buy always has this product on sale.

S7 FE Wi-Fi edition is much better deal. It got better batery then last model, better WiFi then FE 5g model and s7, better bluetooth then FE 5g and s7. And it's cheeper.

Oled burn in takes so long you have to purposefully burn in a oled screen to really see results

I just bought one today for $430 Canadian from Staples. I think for that price it's worth it but not at the regular price. I'm coming from an tab s2 so I'm sure I'll be happy with the s7 fe.

Me too! I got it for $410 with free keyboard case from Samsung's website because they had a promotion. For the price, it's an excellent tablet. Sooo happy I didn't buy an ipad.

I’m sorry but your review lacks details about the product. You don’t mention that there are two different models (5g and WI-FI Models) and the WI-FI model has a more powerful processor 778 g. It also supports 45 watt fast charging and now you can buy this model for a good discount and the tft lcd screen is actually quite good. A really nice 12.4 inch tablet with sale prices of $429.00 for the 64 gig 4 gig model, $469.00 for the 128 gig 6 gig model and there is a 256 gig 8 gig model for a little over $500.00. No one else but Samsung offers a 12.4 inch tablet for these prices. Best Buy always has this product on sale.
i would like to ask for anyone that has the tablet, of to the video maker, i want a tablet capable of working with video editing software, more specific with insta 360 video editing, and insta 360 go2. my mobile screen is too small. So in occlusion, will it be able to run editing programs (the ones o told, no adobe heavy programs)

S7 FE Wi-Fi edition is much better deal. It got better batery then last model, better WiFi then FE 5g model and s7, better bluetooth then FE 5g and s7. And it's cheeper.

Although I'm not a big fan of MIUI, I still admire Mi pad 5 or 5 pro's hardware choice over this big piece of junk. I'll not probably buy a mi-pad, but I hope Samsung will soon realize how bad their price structure is.

I dont know about not having the book cover when you purchased it...but mine has.. its included inside the box. Inside my box are type C charger, the book case with keyboard, s pen and the tablet. 🇵🇭

Snapdragon 750G is a joke for this price and "FE" name. Just save a bit and buy the standard Tab S7. Or other choices like other iPads, which are always very solid choices.
