I completely agree, bourbon doesn't have to be super complex to present unbelievable flavor. I myself absolutely love this juice.....it is a staple IMO for keeping a wheater in your cabinet.

After seeing your review, I went looking and found a bottle, right at MSRP, then had a pour and watched the review again. This might have just replaced my Rebel 10 yr SiB as my favorite wheater! Fantastic pour. Hard to believe how much oak they get on this 6-8 yr whiskey! Great review, thanks!

The Wheated Bourbon is really the Masterpiece of the five because of the mash bill. The little bit of malted barley makes it silky smooth. Buy a case of this and sit on it for twenty years as investment. You'll rake it in later!
Two different animals but fun to compare. Like I stated in the review, OWA is 1/2 the price IF, that’s a big if, you can find it at retail. Most people cannot.
I just did a side by side OE DW vs my favorite OE wheated bourbon store pick. The double wheat is soo much better is not even funny. An instant favorite for me
I paid 59 for the bottle...i would not pay that much again....its a 40 dollar at best....it needs 4 or 6 more years in the barrel ....it would be a bad boy then
Yea i know....my bad i paid 69 for it.......not a fan....but i drank neck and will let it sit and come back....cheers.....just tastes very immature to me boss

Saw it today and passed due to being unfamiliar with the bottle. Didn’t want to spend $109 on an experiment. It’s twice the price of Weller 107…. Which I don’t enjoy much unless it’s the second drink.
Man I have got to try this now I'm already in love with the regular old Elk wheated, this stuff here sounds amazing

Love the packaging. Would like to but haven't tried any OE releases. In general they seem a bit expensive for their age and proofs.
Not sure how its a owa killer when it is double the price. I do like old elk though

In NY owa 107 is easily 2-3x more expensive and pretty rare.

My local place in clarksville Tennessee had 2 bottles...i grabbed 1 double eheat for 69 and a wheated for 49...ill go grab other bottle if still there

It is a bit pricey but Doesn’t taste anything like Weller 107. If you see it in a bar definitely order a pour. This is a bottle many are sleeping on
