Most Insane Underwater Bass Fishing Footage Ever!! GoPro Footage of Giant Bass Eating Lures!

  • Ever wondered what it looks like when schools of giant fish start fighting over a lure? Do they really fight over who will eat it first? Let's go underwater and see!
    These largemouth bass are fighting over our jerkbaits to be the first one to bite! This wolfpack of fish is so crazy they'll bite over and over again! We had one bass nearly 7 lb bite 4 different times before getting hooked!
    This isn't filmed in a bass pond either, these are real bass filmed from a boat during the most insane bite ever!
    We were very lucky to have the equipment to go underwater and film these bass striking lures over and over. This is probably the most insane underwater bass footage ever filmed with a GoPro so we hope you enjoy it! We even had bass crashing into and trying to eat the GoPro!
    What were the bass eating? Here is the equipment used...
    Jerkbait: bit.ly/tbpointer
    Split rings: bit.ly/2aTH3f1
    Hooks: bit.ly/2cVg7xW
    Line: bit.ly/2aaBBDX
    Camera Used: bit.ly/2RsLpjB
    Bass are very predatory and when they begin to school up the jerkbait is a great lure to catch them. The key is the combination of sound and sharp movement. This triggers the bass' predatory nature and they lash out violently, even when they aren't hungry.
    Be sure and try a jerkbait on your next fishing trip! They're great for largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted bass and work throughout the year, even for pond bass fishing!
    If you don't know how to fish with a jerkbait watch this video we shot on how to work them: • Winter Jerkbait Tips a...

    Wow, amazing footage! It's crazy that jerkbait trebles can get hooked on anything they touch when in the boat, but these fish can inhale and spit them out like there's no hooks on them.

    That was sick guys! Seriously this channel is one of the best on TH-cam. Yes please keep going with the underwater footage. You learn a lot from it. Is it possible that not all bass school up in every lake? There is one lake near me that has giants for Pennsylvania but it's a grind. They have so much baitfish. Does that affect how they bite?

    • @tacticalbassin
      @tacticalbassin  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There are definitely lakes that school and lakes that don't but typically the more bait, the more they school. When they're driving bait balls they have to work as a group to be effective.

      Really it probably boils down to how much and what kind of fishing you plan on doing. Do you fish everyday, once a week, tournament fish, recreational fish, etc. You could probably find a Tracker or a nitro for a pretty decent price tag just for recreational fishing. (Like 4k or so) My first boat was a tracker or team 175 and I love it. May be a legit option for you as well. But I wouldn't go spending 20k and up on a boat for a lawn ornament though. Just my 2cents. Good luck on finding one, I hope Matt and Tim can guide you the right way. 👍

    I totally agree with how fast you strike. I have some Barramundi fishing strikes that are lightning fast, in and out in a fraction of a second! Many people tell me I strike too fast, they have no idea. Also unbelievable that fish can eat so many times and not get hooked, but I see it all the time. Great video.

      +AO goes fishing . please don't bother. Do we really need anymore frustrated wanna be a celebrity TV fisherman. In today's world we have enough fishing shows on TV to satisfy every kind of angler. Even better is the fact theyre from all around the world.
      Those that truly enjoy fishing couldn't give a flying fuck about bigging themselves up. But i suppose it's the same mentality that killed large fish to stick in glass cases.

    • @aogoesfishing9579
      @aogoesfishing9579 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Well, everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion and I will respect yours. FWIW, I am just telling my story (mainly for family and friends who like to keep up with me) and enjoying two hobbies of mine: fishing and photography. What is wrong with that? I certainly have no illusions of becoming a "celebrity TV fisherman". I do this for fun... The beauty of TH-cam is that if you don't want to watch, don't click the link. Good luck and enjoy your adventures, whatever they may be...

    Temperature, turbidity, structure and cover! I'm guessing that area is not the Sanctuary but definitely the Grocery Store!!! Were you able to check the ph and oxygen level? Judging from the turbidity, cover and activity I am guessing this area is often subject to wind and some light and is not a deep sanctuary. Would say this is a seasonal movement and not the daily temporal movement of that particular School of Badasses. Not surprised the big shy girls are staying down low with the camera and boat present. Noticed how each individual appears to momentarily head back to cover after a strike until they realize they got nothing in their mouth. Hard to believe some seasoned anglers think bass are dumb fish! They're not dumb, they are a killing machine and every instinctive predator gets itself into trouble on occasion.

      @Mr. FAtBasstard ~ what would you use the ph and oxygen level tests for?

    • @mr.fatbasstard648
      @mr.fatbasstard648 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      moncorp1 ideal levels of pH and Dissolved Oxygen make bass very comfortable enabling them to stay aggressive for longer periods of time. Bass control their body pH and ion levels through urination. When pH and DO levels are out of kilter then bass tend to shut way down.
      pH and DO levels are not critical to finding and catching fish now that we have sonar, underwater cameras and explosives. lol
      I was just curious if they went so far has to test the water. I have my own testers but haven't taken them down from the shelf in the years. I hear some Tournament Anglers still use them though.

    Great footage, interesting that when a bass was caught the others didn't disappear from the area. Thank you so much for this video, subscribed and liked.

      +Rob Palmer . Where have you been locked up?. Seriously there is a guy who's been specialising in underwater shots of fish for a long time. He's put out a huge amount of film all pro quality footage. You get to see dozens of lures and how they perform or don't against some of Irelands monster Pike. He covers everything from big.musky lures, right down to finnese techniques but it's all about the great underwater footage that put him at the top of You tube for underwater film of fish. Just write "Underwater Ireland" to see the largest amount of underwater action on You Tube.
