- How did prairie grasses grow so large without a fertilizer buggy to spread nutrients? Elizabeth Steele digs deep into how native plants work together to form a regenerative and resilient ecosystem which encompasses everything from flowers to fungi.

Which grass has the best ability to deeply break up hard clay?
Thank you for sharing. We're in Chicago and interested in native prairie restoration as a part of Living Green.
Great choice. Hamilton Native Outpost knows their business !!!!!!!!
Wow yeah i always wonder how some places sustain life and fertility but never thought deep enough to the details about the Native grasslands. Definitely interesting and makes total sense. It does illustrate the point that everything is connected and has its roles in our ecosystem.
Thanks for the native solution. We may use these for bed prep on a garden.
Presentation was pretty thorough.
Keep up the great work!
Lol, communing with the ticks
That’s for sure
You have some really good information!! Do you have a big list of grasses that are useful? I'm in south carolina
If you visit our website, you can switch to table view, filter by grasses, and view all and it will give you a nice list of everything we carry (with light requirements, soil preference, etc.) hamiltonnativeoutpost.com/shop-table/
Thank you kindly for the information.
Is it possible at all to please name grass species which do not have symbiosis with micorrhiza fungi?
Does atmospheric nitrogen travel down thru the hollow stem of a legume and perhaps eastern gamma to get to the bacteria that is feeding on the root exudates or does it travel thru the soil aggregate structure to get there ?
I didn't realize some native grasses had mycorrhizal relationships. Are there any others?
Thank you!
There are! It's a pretty vast topic... maybe we could do a video on it!
@@HamiltonNativeOutpost I would like that - I didn't find a lot of information on it on the web beyond generalizations.
@@NotGoddess I've passed it along to the production team. We will get on it!
