    This was extremely helpful. There is nothing more irritating than a shaking camera 10 miles away from the action, with someone saying "put this here." Put what where?! All I see are hands moving. Ha ha. The zoom was sharp, detailed, and on target. Bravo.

    I learned more from this video than anything else in the past 4 months of struggling to crimp pins.

    "I learned more from this video…” is right!
    You saved me lots of time (money, wire, pins frustration, worry about the quality of my work…) Thanks very much!

    Thanks! I am attempting to put a new connector on my continental circuit cabinet, but was confused by the braided wire that were in with the ground terminal. Guess they aren't really needed

      @@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair the current one goes red in 1. Green in 2. Black in 3. Brown in 4. Then white in 10. Is that OK? The monitor and colors look fine

      The molex just needs to be replaced because it seems like it's worn out. Or the pins are worn

      If the image looks normal, I’d say you’re fine.

    Good, helpful vid, one thought I would add. Probably universal, but my crimper die has a little step in it for the fatter insulation end of the terminal, thus the terminal only correctly loads in the die one way. Something to look for.

    So if I was making a custom wire from rca to molex, should I just chop the shield/ground off of the wire when I crimp the molex end?

    • @MikesArcadeMonitorRepair
      @MikesArcadeMonitorRepair  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not sure I understand. You want to terminate the ground at each end.

      @@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair The part that crimps the connector to the cable. Looks like they're attached with some bolts so I am wondering if I can just buy those things and put them on my tool instead of buying an entirely new tool

      I apologize but I can’t say. I picked up the crimpers at a pinball expo and I got the strippers off the Snap-On truck at work.

    What specific crimper tool are you using? It looks like a ratcheting type that crimps both parts at once.
