A polyphonic dramatic contralto, I think the rarest voice type? WoW! I've heard true contralto voices...Marian Anderson was the best imo but so unusual in pop. Norah Jones, Joan Armatrading, Diana Krall, Lisa Gerrard are other contralto singers I can think of... but Marian Anderson 👍 yeah.

🤣You guys are going all out with the "where do these people come from"! She is an amazing singer with a crazy vocal tone. Crazy control considering how young she is. I believe she was 18 when she filmed this. I especially love when she is singing folk songs. The overtones she is able to produce are astounding. And of course just like people listen in disbelief with Charlie "Zhou Shen" high notes, no one can believe it when they hear her sing naturally in that deep range as a woman. My personal favorites are Rechenka and Wicked Games. I was introduced to her when she first performed during a vocal contest for disadvantaged children who have spent some significant part of their childhood without parental care named "You are Super" (Ты супер!). She was only 14/15 years old when she performed and her voice sounded so mature and her control was crazy good.

Они не это имели ввиду, они описывали её фишку, в исполении песни в темном оттенке, т.е. когда играют "печальные" (в хорошем смысле слова) композиции на черных клавишах (минор), по типу оперных произведений. Они ни в коем случае не имели ввиду негативный оттенок, наоборот, обратили внимание на её уникальную силу в данном жанре, но также хотели бы услышать её в мажоре, где идут более драйвовые и светлые композиции и такие у Дианы есть, надеюсь в комментариях уже посоветовали, например "It's A Man's Man's Man's World" ))

For me Rechenka will always be a favorite because of Diana's age (14) when she did it, the many techniques used, the complexities of the vocalizations and her already amazing stage presence at that age, just mind blowing. From Opera to Heavy Metal, Diana Ankudinova can sing anything and generally better than the originals artist. Indila's Derniere Danse launched Diana's international recognition also at age 14. If I had a daughter this is who I'd want as her role model, a truly amazing, humble, loving and classy person is miss Diana.

She was 19 here with more control. She did wicked game when she was 14/15 which was more raw but just as incredible. Rechenka was mesmerizing as well.

Recommending 'Rechenka', 'Derniere Danse' (age 14) 'Wicked Game' (age 15) which are WELL worth hearing and marveling over for both her voice and stage presence even at those ages - These were done on a show called 'You are Super' which I believe was basically for children/young people who had been disadvantaged by being without parents for a significant period of time during childhood (possibly other reasons too but I don't actually know that) It's said that Igor Krutoy (yes THAT Igor, with Dimash) who was one of the judges on this show, took her under his wing, becoming her mentor both on and off the show....
Contralto with an absolutely amazing , mesmerizing and hypnotic voice ! I agree the song in a minor key gives the song an unnerving saddened and wanting feeling that Diana is able to project to her audience with unbelievable vocals! Imagine being only 17 at this time and deliver probably the most riveting and compelling version of this song ! This performance was a talent contest in Russia with the most revered artists in Russia ! Diana was invited to perform and actually won the show gaining praises and accolades from the other artists ! Each performer was judged by all the competing artists and had to sing five songs ! Talk about pressure ! I would suggest you listen to more of Diana to really enjoy the journey that many of us are on ! Great reaction guys! Diana is an amazing singer. A dramatic contralto who works hard to develop her higher range. I believe she also sings with polyphonic overtones which gives the weirdness effect. You have to review Human, Wicked Games, Rechenka and other performances in competition when she was 14 and 15 yo. She was 18 yo when performing this and is now 20. I repeat myself, but she is amazing.

A polyphonic dramatic contralto, I think the rarest voice type? WoW! I've heard true contralto voices...Marian Anderson was the best imo but so unusual in pop. Norah Jones, Joan Armatrading, Diana Krall, Lisa Gerrard are other contralto singers I can think of... but Marian Anderson 👍 yeah.

🤣You guys are going all out with the "where do these people come from"! She is an amazing singer with a crazy vocal tone. Crazy control considering how young she is. I believe she was 18 when she filmed this. I especially love when she is singing folk songs. The overtones she is able to produce are astounding. And of course just like people listen in disbelief with Charlie "Zhou Shen" high notes, no one can believe it when they hear her sing naturally in that deep range as a woman. My personal favorites are Rechenka and Wicked Games. I was introduced to her when she first performed during a vocal contest for disadvantaged children who have spent some significant part of their childhood without parental care named "You are Super" (Ты супер!). She was only 14/15 years old when she performed and her voice sounded so mature and her control was crazy good.

I hope you’ll continue appreciating it - you can check out for example her cover of Wicked Game, where she was just 15. For something more uplifting and pop / energetic, at one of those competitions she was performing a song “Mom I’m dancing”. For something peculiar - folk song Rechenka. Они не это имели ввиду, они описывали её фишку, в исполении песни в темном оттенке, т.е. когда играют "печальные" (в хорошем смысле слова) композиции на черных клавишах (минор), по типу оперных произведений. Они ни в коем случае не имели ввиду негативный оттенок, наоборот, обратили внимание на её уникальную силу в данном жанре, но также хотели бы услышать её в мажоре, где идут более драйвовые и светлые композиции и такие у Дианы есть, надеюсь в комментариях уже посоветовали, например "It's A Man's Man's Man's World" ))

It's called a polyphonic voice, basically the ability to use both sets of vocal cords at the same time. Very cool
For me Rechenka will always be a favorite because of Diana's age (14) when she did it, the many techniques used, the complexities of the vocalizations and her already amazing stage presence at that age, just mind blowing.
From Opera to Heavy Metal, Diana Ankudinova can sing anything and generally better than the originals artist. Indila's Derniere Danse launched Diana's international recognition also at age 14.

Recommending 'Rechenka', 'Derniere Danse' (age 14) 'Wicked Game' (age 15) which are WELL worth hearing and marveling over for both her voice and stage presence even at those ages - These were done on a show called 'You are Super' which I believe was basically for children/young people who had been disadvantaged by being without parents for a significant period of time during childhood (possibly other reasons too but I don't actually know that)
It's said that Igor Krutoy (yes THAT Igor, with Dimash) who was one of the judges on this show, took her under his wing, becoming her mentor both on and off the show....

I agree the song in a minor key gives the song an unnerving saddened and wanting feeling that Diana is able to project to her audience with unbelievable vocals! Imagine being only 17 at this time and deliver probably the most riveting and compelling version of this song ! This performance was a talent contest in Russia with the most revered artists in Russia ! Diana was invited to perform and actually won the show gaining praises and accolades from the other artists ! Each performer was judged by all the competing artists and had to sing five songs ! Talk about pressure ! I would suggest you listen to more of Diana to really enjoy the journey that many of us are on ! I would suggest "Wicked game" ,"Rechenka" and "Human " from the 2018/9 "You Are Super " talent show in Russia when Diana was only 15 as they are mindblowing to say the least ! Great reaction guys! Diana is an amazing singer. A dramatic contralto who works hard to develop her higher range. I believe she also sings with polyphonic overtones which gives the weirdness effect. You have to review Human, Wicked Games, Rechenka and other performances in competition when she was 14 and 15 yo. She was 18 yo when performing this and is now 20. I repeat myself, but she is amazing.
