In Ontario, software engineer is regulated by Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO). You can't call yourself software engineer unless you have an engineering degree. After graduation, you will get a PGWP the same length as your study (1 year). During PGWP period, you need to find a job, work 1 year, and apply for Express Entry. Appy for PNP as well.

I think Canada has Master degree in nursing. But it requires students to work as RN for a while (with clinical experience) before admission. If you are a foreign educated nurse, you need to be licensed with a Canadian province. It starts with NNAS (National Nursing Assessment Service) which can take 1 year. Starting in May 2023, Nova Scotia College of Nursing (NSCN) waived NNAS requirement for nurses of Philippines, India, Nigeria, USA, UK, Australia, and New Zealand. They still need to pass NCLEX exam to receive NS nursing license. NSCN deals with NS nursing licensure, not immigration.

High risk. There are so many MBA's out there in the job market. While working for a big company, they study MBA part time using company's continuing education benefit (i.e., companies reimburse their tuition if they get minimum of B in the course).

I see majority of electrical engineers work until age 65 in corporations. On the other hand, many IT and CS professionals got layoff in mid-career; their jobs can be outsourced easily.
US is harder to get PR. Upon graduation, get employer to sponsor for H-1B visa. Then apply for Labor Cert, proving you are not stealing jobs from eligible Americans and PRs. You have to advertise your job along with salary for a few days in company job posting, trade magazines, and local newspapers. After Labor Cert approval, then wait in line for an available green card. For India, there is 10+ year wait after Labor Cert for employment based (EB2 and EB3) green cards.
