Rollin’ Rascal will bring the fast-paced action of classic Sonic games and mix it with the rich world interactions of Super Mario Bros. in an experience that appeals to classic speedsters while remaining accessible for newcomers to these exciting gameplay genres.
Wondering how you can help? Rollin’ Rascal is now on Kickstarter! We’ll have a series of rewards for those that choose to support the game’s production, including a handful of early-bird specials. Your generous contributions will directly fund Rollin’ Rascal’s production as we head toward the finish line. We've already released a free public demo of the game, so everyone can get a taste for how the game is shaping up!

@@Critical_HitZWhat? People can still want something that hasn't happened. And it has happened in Sonic GT, their previous project. Even if that wasn't the case, this gameplay does fit with the concept and style of Sonic.

I can picture rascal getting a pound as a way of passing the torch from Spark the electric jester, Sonic being his coach rooting him on and lilac from freedom planet as his teammate also cheering him on. And peppino from pizza tower serving pizza by the stands.
Somebody needs to draw this, because this is a lovely image.

@@sirubisan698It's mainly because Sonic Adventure's main principles were that it had momentum based speed physics which felt rewarding when you pull off fast speeds which could allow you to get to areas which you wouldn't normally be able to get to on a casual playthrough

I've only logged about 3 hours in the demo and I'll probably log way more over the next few weeks, but this game really hits the spot. I'm so excited to see this one land in the laps of players as a full product, I haven't had this much fun with a 3d platformer in decades.

2024 is the year of small developers giving gamers what big companies wouldn’t give them
I adore Sonic Grand Tour, and I'd back this just to give something back for that.
But playing the demo cleared up any doubts that this will be great.
I love how enemies can be tools to get through stages faster, instead of afterthought obstacles to leave in the dust.
The one thing I miss from Grand Tour is the variety of characters with different movement styles, but if the core gameplay is solid, that's what really matters.
This game is great! And we got the first footage of Q.T. in the game!😍 1:03

The character design and art direction are peak. The fact that momentum plays a key part in the gameplay immediately made me add this to my wishlist.
this game plays extraordinarily well!! it actually makes the speedy pseudo platforming make sense while also giving way more control overall! I highly recommend getting the demo because holy hell this game is absolutely fun to play. However, it sadly only has a handful of stages. but that's subject to change in the future! multiplayer is fun when you get to race against others! the soundtrack and scenery is also pretty striking to me. it makes me feel like I've played this game years ago on the wii, and I'm just remembering how amazing it was to play!

Yo! This looks goated!! The gameplay looks amazing with inspiration from a bunch of Sonic eras. The music sounds fire, I'm hearing some Advanced influence and hints of Rush. The animations look clean and fresh as hell. I'm going to look at the kickstarter rn, y'all ate the whole cake and didn't leave a crumb for anyone else.

I just wanna highlight how the sound design and music for this are so FUN. I've been waffling on whether or not I could afford to support (glad the digital copy tier is only $25) but the hype-up music finally sold me. This is only a pre-alpha build? I'm so damn excited.

The character reminds of the Chameleons in Chameleon Twist for Nintendo 64, which was developed by the now defunct Japan System Supply.
