The thing is you cant really say that season OGs weapons being bad meant real chapter 1 was bad, because a lot of season OGs weapons were nothing like the actual chapter 1 weapons.
@@BlitzBlockFNit wasn’t bad at all and chapter 1 weapons were stronger but way less balanced, the pump in chapter 1 would hit for 8 most of the times and the scar would hit for 90 headshot, the recent og season used all the chapter 2 models and versions of guns but they also brought back the original heavy shotgun and the three burst ar, as well as buffing og weak guns such as the new semi auto and the new grenade launcher, it was a really good meta compared to the last few seasons before

I was the exact opposite, as I first tought the og season would flop, because it wouldnt be the same, but then became addicted to it, as soon as it released
Season OG was a ton of fun but it never felt like og fortnite and it never will. What made og fortnite was all the misscelaneous noises (like the birds chirping, the storm, picking up items, sniper headshots, etc). The map felt so much smaller in season OG than it did before for some reason (even with project NOVA and Era the maps felt actually big and not like a creative map). I loved the season and going back to the map but it'll never be chapter 1.
I should’ve mentioned in the video how the map was literally built in creative. There was so many things wrong with it like houses that were completely off the building grid. Season OG was absolutely rushed

OG was nothing like chapter 1, the weapons was nerfed over time after chapter 1 and they decided not to restore them to what they were before which ruined the whole feel of true OG Fortnite and, its going to ruin chapter 2 also because it uses the same weapons. They didn't put no effort into creating Season OG and it was used to get people back on the game for chapter 5. So my hopes aren't that high for OG chapter 2.
As a person who’s been playing since chapter 1 I’m not as hyped at it returning like everyone else, the biggest issue is they cut so many corners with it as well. Reload is an even more cut down variant and they don’t even have all the original weapons or gimmicks, the newer chapters lack the love and care the original chapters 1 and 2 had. What have we really had in these new chapters that anyone loves yk ?

We need an actual live event that isn’t an old one revamped. The Big Bang was cool, but for being the only live event in 2023 it wasn’t enough. And the little baby ones that happened the last 3 seasons don’t count either

We need a chapter reprise at the beginning of the season, and then they just reveal that it's going to be the same map as the orevious chapter but they take the seasons in a different direction. Ex: A Chapter 3 where the map starts Chapter 3 Season 1, but instead of the next season being Ch3S2, instead the desert of the island gets blown up and aliens invade or smn) Edit: I wouldn't worry about Chapter 2 being ruined, as it brought in a lot of the "modern" quality of life changes we know beyond the revamped movement in Chapter 3, and I doubt they'll change the movement just for this one season, especially after Chapter _1_ OG still had the new movement. Plus, cars and money-based vending machines may return, and overall I imagine they'll bring back content from later seasons than Ch2S3 in terms of stuff like NPCs, gold, and exotics
I started to play fortnite in C2 S4 and have played ever since. And i can safely say that C4 Season OG is easily a top 3 season while I’ve played. I did not get to experience the C1 map in 2017-2019, but I still think the map was so good in C4 Season OG. It’s not just nostalgia because I purely loved November 2023 without playing in C1
Chapter 3,4 and 5 would probably not have OGs as chapter 1 and 2 lasted for 2 years so it has been 3 years since chapter 2 ended and 5 years since it begun which is a while ago. Now we have shorter chapters so we progress more but they don't seem as old. I started in Chapter 3 and it doesn't seem very old so it probably wont return as Chapter 3 was technically the Chapter 1 island.
Probably won't see it till year after next cause their saving chapter 2 seasons 5 7 an 8 for another og season. That's why we're only getting seasons 1 through 3, of chapter 2 this year. They updated the graphics which nobody wanted, the og graphics are so clear and nice cartoony and vibrant just overall simply unbeat. And they didn't even give us the og weapon models, hell not even the little things like the og visual effects. Epic is doesnt care and is never going to completely return to the og game, graphics, weapons, maps, effects and models.
To be fair downgrading a graphics engine for a month seems like a lot of effort for a small payoff, but things like having the OG pump design in the keyart but a different one in game was dumb.
I started playing right at the beginning of Chapter 4, and even though I would love to see them go back to that chapter, I think after a “og” chapter 2, they should probably stop.

I think that OG fortnite WAS better, Fortnite OG kinda tarnished the whole perception of the sandbox considering how many changes ruined weapons, like the insane bloom increase of Chapter 4, and the accuracy decreases, Fortnite OG was fun in all but I really didn't like how they kinda squandred the aspects that made the game more nuanced, I am one who didn't really like chapter 2 as much as 1 and 3, but I hope Epic learned their lesson from the fortnite OG season for the return to Chapter 2 (I still thinks it wouldn't make much sense to call it Chapter 2 OG
Oh yeah I’m definitely excited, more so to just leave chapter 5 because I don’t like this map or season very much. Hopefully it’s better than last year’s and they don’t keep doing it until everyone is sick of OG seasons.

A “OG chapter 2” season doesn’t even sound right. When I think of og and Fortnite I think of chapter 1 season 0-5. They should change the name to Fortnite classics chapter 2, therefore if they want to do one every year it will sound better than calling every month long season a OG season.
Did they actually change the bloom at some point? I always assumed that it just felt bad after getting weapons with better bloom after it was vaulted, but if they actually changed it that would explain a lot.

you're right, i did play in 2017 but the ch1 map is unironically so good, every location is memorable, unlike some of the modern maps
