I was growing up, around 10 yrs old in the era when Tony B; Frank S; and many others were the biggest on the hit parades. I learned all of there song by heart, and still sing them without needing any lyrics in front of me.Tony B, was and still is one the very best. I am very fortunate to have been a part of that time in life!
Like him or not, Michael Buble is just one of a handful of guys who is out there carrying on the genre of music that Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra and others sang. Gotta respect the few young guys out there with the guts and talent to be different and carry on with the old music. Sometimes it's refreshing to hear the old stuff when I get completely burned out on modern pop, rock and rap.
Tony Bennet is incomparable AS ALWAYS! Buble is lucky to have such a one-of-a-kind mentor, and blessed to have a wonderful voice capable of representing this genre in modern times.
It astonished me that when they performed together and this was 5 years ago, Tony Bennet was 80 and Michael was only 30! What an amazing duo and now, at 85 for Tony and a still young Michael at 35, their on Tony Bennet's latest album, Duets 11-just released this month! That's the performance of a lifetime and The Today Show was 5 years ago?! Two stellar performers and I Loved them together!! Can you imagine Michael at Tony Bennett's age? Those two are beyond words- so HOT!!!!!!!! There was no g
I love how Buble is one of the last of his kind. He appreciates and loves the style of music, writes new and relevant music in the genre as well as covers classics... Without him this music will be lost in ten to twenty years. Sure people will 'remember' but no-one will be making it. I wish people could get past the negative and just embrace change.
Mamboviv: You are ABSOULTEY correct that Sinatra (and Bennet) are the real, original deal. What a compliment to both that a young talent would aspire to sound, perform and mimic such wonderful performers. Buble is introducing a new generation to this kind of music and the greats that came before him. They (Sinatra and Bennet) will never be out-done, of course. Classics always!
tony bennett is a true jazz legend, and of course frank siniatra too, no doubt about both of them. But michael buble is a whole new generation of jazz singer, he brought jazz into a whole new level. He brought alot of so called "oldies" jazz which youngster nowadays barely know of, into a modern trend. He greatly improvised and enhance the popularity of jazz, and made the new generation appreciate the true jazz. Good job michael, your my aspiration!
If you're Michael Buble, you're crapping your pants for the fact alone that you got to sing with Tony Bennett. I can almost gaurentee that even Buble was star struck that he got to sing with Tony. Awesome!
Michael Buble is a great singer - and an awesome performer, his concerts are really enjoyable. Anyway, is you don't like him, then why are you watching this video?
While we have our music we have something the whole world understands. Its beyond language. Take it with you everyone understands the vibe and feel. Music ahhhhh play on and on and on for eveeeeeeer. If we can be the best of lovers yet be the best of friends , if w can try with evryday to make it better as it grows , with any luck then i suppose the music never ends. Thanks for the banter my friend. keep playing
Talent talent & talent..................... Michael n Tony.... best of kind I left my heart in San Francisco ,Shadows of smile, Just in time, Blue Velvet , How about You, Stranger in paradise, Rags n Riches, Solitud..... & 1000s more from Tony. Today......Buble he' great
He is pure silk... always has been. My nickname for TB is silk. Seen him 20 times a counting and pray I will get another 20... I love Sinatra, Buble, Nat "KIng" Cole and Deano, but there will only ever be one Silk.
I grew up listening to all the crooners and I know these songs by heart, thanks to my parents. Now that I'm 45, I'm really happy to know that younger people like Michael Buble are singing them again, and with great talent too!
I love the way he relates to Tony and the band...good communication. This is what makes a great singer...He is not in his own world he is aware of everyone around him a great entertainer...just like my Italian favorite!
I agreed with your original comment re: Elliott Yamin. One of the best voices to come around in a looooooong time. He and Tony would sound great together. His voice is beautiful, but he what he does with it IS brilliant.
There is a reason why the great Bennett still has a powerful voice. His technique is sound. His support, breathing both work well. Such a tech preserves the voice.
i know!!! i'm 21, but this was the first kind of music i was exposed to by my parents, i love it. i just found out about buble, so i'm really excited that there are younger artists out there who embrace this kind of music, and put their own spin on it. =)

Michael Buble is great and generous. God bless his soul for sharing the stage with one of his biggest fans.
Michael: I'm singing with Tony Bennett 🤯
Michael: let's dance
Love this❤
If Tony Bennett is willing to sing with this guy, then that's all the confirmation I need to know that Michael Buble is GREAT.

He is pure silk... always has been. My nickname for TB is silk. Seen him 20 times a counting and pray I will get another 20... I love Sinatra, Buble, Nat "KIng" Cole and Deano, but there will only ever be one Silk.
