    Did this swap this past weekend to my 2000 sd crew cab. Picked up the seat at the local auto recycler for $50 (decent shape, no tears, needed cleaning is all). The extra mounting bolt lugs were already in place, needed to be drilled through the floor pan and chased the threads to make sure they were clean. Very happy with the results.

    You knocked that outta the park! Great video. I'm in the same conundrum you were. I bought my f350 new in 99. After 24 years my interior is shot. I'm mainly looking at Marketplace and finding nothing but expensive junk. Congratulations on finding something usable.

      @@edwardlthompson I've committed myself to never parting with mine. They say the 7.3 will never die. The 6.0 in my wife's truck nearly put us in the poor house. Wish I could get contact information for the guy you got the seats from. There's an outfit in Weatherford similar to the guy you got yours from. It's a helluva long drive from south east Texas to Weatherford but I'm running out of options. Talking to the folks at Katskins at present.

    • @edwardlthompson
      @edwardlthompson  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, absolutely. Just adjust the front seats as far forward as possible and lean them forward to give yourself room to work in the back. Just keep in mind that there's no bolt holes for the center part of that 60/40 split. You will need to get a bracket or something to tie them together or make your own holes. Thanks for posting. Do you know what year they changed the back seats to fold up with the extendable platform for storage? My 03 King Ranch doesn't do this and I'd like to convert it sometime if I find a junkyard deal or one for part out. Thanks!

      I'm sorry for not replying sooner. I did not see this comment until a month later. I'm not sure when That split rear seat came into the picture but they did that interior and exterior refresh in 2005. My guess is that's the year that it comes from. Most interior parts are compatible all the way through 2007.
