Before he married his second wife, she traveled 1800 miles to stay with me for a couple of days because she wanted to try to understand him. She married him anyway. Then he had girlfriends. Same with the next two. He died of dementia with the last wife. He was a wonderful person but a terrible husband. I always blamed myself when I was young, but after four wives with girlfriends, I realized it had nothing to do with me. Oh, did I say that when I was married to him he had one of his girlfriends live with us. I never hated her. I didn't get married just to get divorced. I had to go a little crazy to leave.
