Did Doreen even read academic writings against the Witch Cult hypotesis? Im surprised that by that time she could have read them and still rejected them. Interesting.
I first became aware of her when reading the ABC of witchcraft, I was hooked, as the information was immense, you will learn more from this lady than 10 books by the egotistic morally corrupt Crowley (At least until you get to know what the hell he is talking about!).
witch and wiccan can be different and pagan is an umbrella term for anyone of faith outside the abrahamic faiths, it can get a bit confusing, but the wiccan, witch and druid community in the uk are fond of her observations and writings, she didnt always agree with some alexandrian or gardnerian wiccan points she was always educating herself on all aspects. she is the most respected witch in united kingdom. even though she is passed. wether wiccan or solo witch is debatable but a queen nonetheless blessed be )O(
