Genious...worked like a charm on my sister's 2003 MDX. Her airbag light came on after slamming the hood several times to get it to latch. Used this process to reset the light.👍👍
You’re legit man. The steps they have you take to clear a code are beyond absurd. I’ll cover the prego dude with duct tape before paying dealership dollars.
Thanks !! I had mine replaced after a bad accident on that passenger side paid $900 for new SRS module and now airbag light is on , same as when passenger belt is being used i think 🤔 could be seat belt fastener issue which i knew about that recall . But you reminded me and now when i take it back to Acura i will mention to them .. its less than a year since i paid so they better take care of it free of cost to me , fingers crossed 🤞🏻
Great detective work Glen and it shows you did a lot of research in diagnosing this issue. Keith sure does know a lot about different cars for sure. Can you also access the SRS system with a scanner? Have a good one and don't work too hard! 😀👍
Hello..I replaced the module in my 2002 Acura TL..Does the code suppose to clear on its own or do I have to clear it??? I also replaced both airbags and seatbelts with the module...thanks
Please I need help I bought a car and the airbag light is on all the time no flashing at all. The airbag recently changed after an accident so how I can figure out what is the problem?
Would the paper clip reset the srs lighton a 07 acura tl the same way? My side curtain air bag was deployed on passenger side all the other air bags are ok
Battery is new few days old, still had the code before! But yes I have cleared the code but comes back as soon as it's cleared! I'm using a Bosh scanner works with airbags as well and that's the code 2-8 but no description just says no DTC definition found see service Manuel.
Th eMini Cooper has the same resistor thing in the buckles. I guess it is now a common thing to have those nowadays? Thanks for the info Ozz. Well done and informative, as usual! How come Mrs Ozzstar didn't tell you you're sexy in this vid? Take care.
Can you add more details on how you know that? Sharing a link that has accurate information on this Acura SRS code would be awesome to help out others. Thanks
Experiencing SRS faults on many vehicles...With most faults there is a trend that results in the identical issues regardless of the make...The scanner narrows down the fault area and the probability for certain issues are repeatable...Seatbelt buckle fault is usually set by moisture...A squib fault is usually a detonator fault in the airbag itself and an open circuit in the steeringwheel bag is most commonly the clockspring and most times the controls on the wheel including the horn do not work..There are obviously exceptions but this is my general rule of thumb..Cheers.

I can dig it Steve if Mike or Dave would lend me one there backhoes. I don't have the time (or energy) to dig with a shovel by hand anymore.

Another good one! You've been on a roll lately. Too bad I'm not still in Philly because I've got a 2010 Fusion that could be it's own channel...
You should have hit me up Matt. I'm about 50 mins south of Philly. I could have sent Chaos home with you!!

You will need a new programmed SRS module after deployment if the vehicle was in an accident.
@@ozzstars_cars I see and let's say I get a new srs module from a junkyard would A good scanner be able to reprogram that srs module ?
@@ozzstars_cars or how are those srs modules programed ?
@@gsrjaycee4521 nope
@@ozzstars_cars Do I need to replace the side curtain airbag in order to remove the srs light or I can just clear it with a scanner?
I have code 2-8 on my 06 CR-V!? I can't find any info on it based on that code "2-8" any help would be greatly appreciated.
First thing is naje sure the battery is able to hold full voltage. If that's good time to diagnose the SRS module. Did you try to reset it first?

what does 1-2 code mean? i've got a 1-2 and a 6-2. thx for video.
2004 Acura MDX side airbag off, how to fix it? thank you very much.
Passenger seat?
Will this process work clear accidental car airbag light after replacing the airbag?
Airbag module must be replaced and programmed on most vehicles after deployment.
@@ozzstars_cars thank you. I am in Nigeria, I will look for the people in that line of work
Was the dealer able to fix the issue with the seat belt
Yes, the buckle pretensioners were replaced free of charge by Honda/Acura. Fixed.

Th eMini Cooper has the same resistor thing in the buckles. I guess it is now a common thing to have those nowadays? Thanks for the info Ozz. Well done and informative, as usual! How come Mrs Ozzstar didn't tell you you're sexy in this vid? Take care.
