@TheBudgetMumUK I'm celiac, and I buy so much of my food there. The fruit and veg last so much longer and stay fresh. You looked so happy there, you made me smile.😁
I do an M&S shop maybe once a month (Asda and Aldi weekly) I like their higher welfare meat. They are comparable on price with a lot of other supermarkets especially when you take quality and weight into account. They don’t tend to pump their chicken and bacon full of water, for instance. Trouble is, unless you’re really strict it’s easy to be tempted by the premium goodies 😂
Lately I feel I want to go to M and S alot more. I love their pantry items and home brands or I call them home brands but they are probably called budget brands. Alot of the yellow stickers are fine. Love their curry spices, meal kits and sauces. They also have smoothie packs with fruit in the freezer section.
M&S isn’t that bad costs-wise, lots of the OAPs round here use the food hall. And .... when you factor in the quality, taste and shelf-life (not to mention range) of their fresh goods .... they are very competitive - in some cases a lot cheaper than Tesco to begin with
Ual 13 items not too bad I hope you make great combinations with all this. I don’t dare to step in M&S or Waitrose. Recently swapped Tesco for Lidl which has loads of European food. I am also trying to get creative and inspired meals for my family and on the budget. Also ordered in the past from Hello Fresh which also saved us a lot of money at the time and always with different flavours to choose. Thanks for showing new things very intrigued with the cotton candy grapes. 😅
M&S is good for certain items. I buy their white bread 75p 1p more than Tesco but no nasty additives. My children don’t notice the difference. The milk is the same price. The meat/fish I buy reduced when I can but second round reductions. The BBQ meat I’ve done great this year with the summer being so bad I’ve had loads for less than £2 a packet. For most other things I find them so incredibly expensive. But they do have nice food. I like their cheese and it’s 25p (I think) more than Tesco but tastes really nice and their baked beans are the absolute best 45p a can
Thsts a massive M & S food shop we only have luttke ones near us❤really enjoyed this video❤ if l waa on my own l would be able to eat better and save lot of money❤
Yeah, there are only small ones right by me. I drove about 25 mins to this one but it was definitely worth it. Definitely we’d all have more money if we were solo 😅
Why dont you just make your own salads and home cooked meals and soups ? You got diddly squat for your money in my opinion. You can eat healthy doing your own
Oh you’re absolutely right. I could have gotten more if I made my own, and as you can see in pretty much all my other videos this is what I do. This video was different to my usual, and I do mention this a couple of times throughout, and the reasons why I didn’t this time. Thanks for watching! ☺️
@@TheBudgetMumUK sorry but I was a single mum for 8 years. I struggled with money and still ate healthily (most of the time lol ) baked potatoes etc are hearty healthy meals. I still at 63 years old make hearty meals. My hubby calls me a tight bitch 😂😂😂🙈🙈🙈. But we eat well. This week I bought ham hock to make ham and lentil soup for example. I batch cook and freeze x
@@TheBudgetMumUK I also make cheap other soups. Carrrot and orange etc . Good meal with a bit of crusty bread. I so understand the incentive part. My hubby works shifts and it pains me to cook for myself. The slow cooker is the best invention ever for me tbh x
Good for you! I totally get that & the whole incentive thing!
Love your energy, you’re so upbeat ❤
Aww thanks, Leanne! Really appreciate that ☺️
M&S isn’t as expensive as people think! You could still go there and budget
Agreed
