I purposely put my mower on it's side to replace the blades in my riding mower. I have the same issue. I'll try it once I get off of work. Fingers crossed.
I hoisted my mower up in the air (front end pointed down) from the rear hitch, to change the left spindle. When I tried to start it, it wouldn't turn over, the head was full of oil (I guess it was hydraulic lock) anyway I pulled the plug and oil poured out. I should have known better and pulled the plug first. Enjoyed the video.
Mines acting like battery is dead (it’s not). I flipped it on accident using loading ramps into truck. Any ideas what would cause it to not even crank over??
I flipped over an Ariens zero turn mower to get something off a blade and now the machine just clicks and won't start? do you know what this could be? its a brand new mower.
I tilted my push mower and I put the spark plug back in and some oil is coming out of the muffler when I pull the string and everything was fine before I tilted it
Oil from the exhaust can be a lot of different things. Did this happen after it tipped? Clogged air filter can cause this, worn valves, over filled crankcase, carburetor etc... Did it start after a tip over or do you mean its just coming out in general as you use it.
Thank you so much! I have been searching to find someone who is straight forward and answered the question. My mower can be saved thank you you!!

My grandson run over a shirt. He flipped it over. Now it won't crank. Acts like battery dead. Had a full amount of gas in mower before turn over.

Any thoughts on if oil is dripping from the muffler?

The engine is probably flooded with oil or gasoline, I got mine to start by pulling the rope over and over until the engine started
I gotta mower I tipped the wrong way and now it won't start it's a Murray push mower
