What a breathtaking backdrop to work in! It seems to be a very accurate mill. The rough cut looked good. Love that curved log! Thanks for all the hard work and dedication.
another thing to do with Alaskan milling is to setup your logs with a 5 to 10 degree down slope this helps to pull through the log cheers from australia 🇦🇺
Lmao!!! "STOP TALKING AND JUST LOOK!!!" That made me laugh out loud. I was thinking the last little while wondering why you are not slabbing up some logs out there and that I have not seen you slab anything at all for a long time. Now, here you are getting it done. Very cool
Just wanted to say, thank you for the frequent uploads recently. Really enjoying watching you (with the help of family & friends), start to build a new home from scratch. It can't be easy juggling family life, work & this new project. So, thank you for taking us on this journey with you. Much love, respect & good wishes from #UK💙
Just a thought, I have found that when using a Alaskan sawmill that anti-vibration gloves are really useful to stop your hands and wrists hurting, If you haven't got a winch.
Dude you are the king of carpenters. I have an idea/suggestion. After you get your cabin all set up you could keep adding additional cabins as rentals and offer people packages where they can spend a few nights experiencing the amazing scenery of your property and offer a class like setting where they can get to learn some carpentry skills and get to experience hands on projects building the additional cabins or a communal lodge/dinning hall etc. People would pay for the experience and provide free labor adding on to the property and eventually you could retire off the rental income or continue offering the classes combined with the amazing property.
Thought this small cabin was somewhere for him to hang out pre building his monster house? Loads of small dwellings is going to ruin the whole reason for being there, imho
Nice mill. Cutting 90 deg to the grain is painfully slow, even with a good ripping chain. Try cutting an an angle up to 45deg if you have the bar capacity and it will usually peel long shavings instead of making dust, and be much quicker.
That last shot though! Something about a a couple of guys in the bush workin' on their wood with a beautiful sunset in the background. Gets me every time.
Spectacular view! "Just shut up and dont discriminate" Too funny. I cant wait to see the finished product. Im certain it will be nothing less than awesome. Thanks for sharing, brilliant cinemaphotogrphy camera guy,
Great Video! I love my chainsaw mill.. doesn't have the quick adjust and is a pain in the ass. You know... 2 buddies and a log splitter could get all those rounds spilt and stacked in a day opening so much more room for activities ;)
Love it! Soo awesome to see you milling the logs you will build with! Just do us viewers a favor.. Take down the small weird tree that is always in the shot.. Nah just joking.. You do what ever you want bro! Thanks for sharing! 👍
Your choice of backdrop is impeccable Jesse, I'm sure it was yet another next level Samurai video, but I have no idea what the video was about I couldn't take my eyes off that wonderful Vista behind you :)
Not only do I envy your view but your supply of lumber has my 160 acres of aspen beat hands down. Not sure about your rain, happier with my -20 and sun.
You didn't exaggerate, it is a Paradise. When you think about it, we do live in a Paradise, the whole Earth is full of places like that. We take it for granted.
Scootin around like a mountain goat on that punishing terrain but didn’t you blow out your knee a year or two ago just sweeping the shop or something? That roller knee pad thing ain’t gonna be so sweet on that hillside :) keep up the great work. Love this project! 🙏🏻💕
Forget the view the great advantage of this saw spot is that it comes without neighbours that want to debate whether all that noise is worth the lumber. :-)
Super video as always mr :) Did not know of the upgrade to the Granberg mill, i have a 5 year old setup. Will look in to if they have a retrofit option :) Finally some good weather to.. Happy holllidays from Norway. TR
Good lord, what is that ? Is that a blue sky? Sun? 😉 Just kidding. When you get crappy weather, the good weather is all that nicer!! You have so much good timber, a sawmill might be nice?
"Stop talking, and just look" That killed me. Well done both of you.
Best part of the whole video!
Sounded like a old wise monk tired of his students shit 😂
You’ve been pouring your heart into this build for the family. Very commendable bro. I’m really enjoying this series!
What a breathtaking backdrop to work in! It seems to be a very accurate mill. The rough cut looked good. Love that curved log! Thanks for all the hard work and dedication.
Pure, absolute, gold. "Stop taking and just look!". Amen! Such fun x
When you look at the beauties that surround you, words are not needed, silence is needed!!
another thing to do with Alaskan milling is to setup your logs with a 5 to 10 degree down slope this helps to pull through the log cheers from australia 🇦🇺
Great tip! Gravity cuts we call them in Tassie 😉
that is a very valuable tip indeed
A picture is worth 1000 words. Nice work.
There is something so oddly satisfying and relaxing watching a sawmill work.
I'm a simple man. I see someone mention chainsaw milling, i click!
this is a genius design of the most portable mill I have ever seen
Beaming, with envy over that awesome Doug Fir man!!! Absolutely gorgeous there!
It's really comfortable to work in such an environment
I think the tree in the middle of the "view" will be absolutely fantastic firewood 😄
Cool, now cut down that skanky tree in the middle of the awesome view.
Lmao!!! "STOP TALKING AND JUST LOOK!!!" That made me laugh out loud. I was thinking the last little while wondering why you are not slabbing up some logs out there and that I have not seen you slab anything at all for a long time. Now, here you are getting it done. Very cool
I am loving this series for tooo many reason to mention…but the views you share are breathtaking…added with humour.. joy abounds!❤️🙋🏻♀️🇬🇧💕jane
Dude keep pumping these videos out… please!!!!
Just wanted to say, thank you for the frequent uploads recently.

I liked this series, and then I saw the sunset and view in the last few minutes of this episode…and now, yeah. Love it.
The weather is so nice out there now. Awesome!
Beautiful spot, it will be worth all the hard work ! Thanks for video
I'm looking forward to a drone shot of the property to give a sense of the setup :)
Just a thought, I have found that when using a Alaskan sawmill that anti-vibration gloves are really useful to stop your hands and wrists hurting, If you haven't got a winch.
Dude, your work is amazing but that view is insane!!!
Not much use for a chainsaw milling attachment in my job as an insurance clerk in central London. But I checked to see how much it was anyway.
Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it!
Insurance jobs always come in handy with chainsaws...
Chainsaws are very versatile. They're practically a multi-tool. Ask Andrew Camarata!
Those are some big ass winding sticks!
Those are some nice fresh mills. Beautiful milled logs too.
That is paradise.. man is that a beautiful spot!

Seems like a sure fire way to end up with some stranger clean and jerking in your cabin.
Thought this small cabin was somewhere for him to hang out pre building his monster house? Loads of small dwellings is going to ruin the whole reason for being there, imho
God no! I'd be keeping that piece of paradise all to myself. You go to places like that to get away from people.
I love my Granberg... and i love what you guys are doing up there! great combo!
So cool, and hell of a view to cut some wood! Excited to see how you finish milling up the curved piece!
Yes…but..I was just thinking how tranquil and beautiful and how a screaming chainsaw had effect
Beautiful views, for sure!! Love it.
What a beautiful lake and your work video always extra salads on plate
Fine day for some lakeside milling!
And that is how it's done.
So good - I’m 100% going to buy one of the granburg mills
Granberg! Woop woop!
Nice mill. Cutting 90 deg to the grain is painfully slow, even with a good ripping chain. Try cutting an an angle up to 45deg if you have the bar capacity and it will usually peel long shavings instead of making dust, and be much quicker.
Nice to see The Cameraman back!
That view! So beautiful. Makes all that hard work feel worth it eh? Inspirational brother.
That last shot though!
Something about a a couple of guys in the bush workin' on their wood with a beautiful sunset in the background.
Gets me every time.
That was a real money shot
Spectacular view! "Just shut up and dont discriminate" Too funny. I cant wait to see the finished product. Im certain it will be nothing less than awesome. Thanks for sharing, brilliant cinemaphotogrphy camera guy,

Unbelievably satisfying to watch 🤣
What an amazing closing shot, beautiful.
Another great episode, Thankyou
this ninja is slashing away at this
I could see that curved piece being the end of a peninsula with those planks becoming the countertop.
Looks like Sproat Lake near Gracie Creek. Beautiful area.

I'm Glad you're back. I've been watching recently. Your content is inspiring. Thankyou. Keep it up kid.
Ah yes, that BC chain saw log fishing channel! Reel in those high grade logs. Love the content. Love the view.
Very useful and creative, nice job my brother!
Damn that was a beautiful video to watch.
🥳Germany ist watching you... Samurai-ho
Estonia is watching YOU Germany watching the Samurai.
Very cool I like your staircase as well
Absolutely loved this vid.
Great product!
Looking good. Keep it up Jesse!
Beautiful
chainsaw mills are a lot of work for sure. had the norwood with a 660 stihl and 24 bar.
not for the weak.
Nice work and incredible view!
Not only do I envy your view but your supply of lumber has my 160 acres of aspen beat hands down. Not sure about your rain, happier with my -20 and sun.

So beautiful up there that night.
Pulls once and saw idles, your cabin in heaven?
That's some good wood you got there.
Wild, love it
Awsome videos, looking forward for the next noe every time om done with the latest, lovely plate you got there 😁
Wow 😊 Fantastic!
I would use a piece of that as sawhorses top. Add some dog holes and you will have a far more stable miny work bench.
Great piece of kit Jesse.
The best tree trunk joke I’ve ever heard!
Fine job men! I was just going to say these two jokers are so involved they don't even realize the beauty going on, but never mind.
Love the camera mans attitude
Seriously laughed out loud at this one...well done!
Pretty interesting work indeed, dude! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Scootin around like a mountain goat on that punishing terrain but didn’t you blow out your knee a year or two ago just sweeping the shop or something? That roller knee pad thing ain’t gonna be so sweet on that hillside :) keep up the great work. Love this project! 🙏🏻💕
Clean snatch brah!
Did anyone else notice/appreciate the youtube closed captions when the chainsaw was running? Hahahaha
Love it!
Canada reminds me of New Zealand ... Even all the hard Yakka getting crap from A to Z
great video, wow BC is so stunning xoxo Sandy Thinking about making wood cookies with the Alaskan mill???????
I’d pay infinite amount of money for that view at the end.
“STOP TALKING AND JUST LOOK !!”🤣🤣
13:36 should have layed on it like "draw me like one of your french girls" and taken a pic with the view for an ultimate thumbnail
Big like for your video my dear best friend 💞💞💞💞💞 great sharing dear 💞
"Stop talking and just look!" What he said.
@16:57 that log has a TON of tension in it. Watch that cut actually spread open until he’s 3/4 through.
Forget the view the great advantage of this saw spot is that it comes without neighbours that want to debate whether all that noise is worth the lumber. :-)
:stop talking and just look!" Perfect sentiment. Funny as hell but perfectly said
Super video as always mr :)

Finally some good weather to.. Happy holllidays from Norway.
TR
What is the building behind the little cabin he's been working on?
What size bar on his (smaller) set up, 24"?
The new guy is a great add... Hes doing great job of keeping you balanced... lol
Good lord, what is that ? Is that a blue sky? Sun? 😉
Just kidding. When you get crappy weather, the good weather is all that nicer!!
You have so much good timber, a sawmill might be nice?
Nice thumbs up.
Great view.....would be better without the fugly tree right in the middle. :-)
Very cool chainsaws.
