“The Mesa” Podcast Reexamines the West Mesa Murders

- February 7, 2020 - Senior producer Matt Grubs sits down with Tierna Unruh-Enos, who this week began a podcast called The Mesa, about the unsolved murders of women buried on Albuquerque’s West Mesa. The deaths of 11 women, one of whom was pregnant, are thought to be the work of a serial killer. This week marked the 11th anniversary of the discovery of the bodies.

@@Ggallegos23 They are working with them, officer Perez arrested me and stole my phone because it had the some of the evidence on it. Then they got on the news and said that he was not allowed to be with the public, he only worked at the gun club. That is a lie he came to my house and 3 times. He was not allowed to be with the citizens because he shot a unarmed man in the back. .After he did this to me he got to go into swat and got a250,000 dollars. For killing a man.

The podcast is unlistenable. Background music recorded in public during interviews, lip smacking, breathing, computer beeps... Unprofessional and distracting. Pretty offensive when it is meant to draw attention to these murders and all it makes me want to do is turn it off.
