    OMG! I also just purchased a C70 and I've owned a GH5 as my first cam which will also now be my B-Cam! Looks like I will be purchasing CineMatch as well and try and follow your content quite closely to absorb as much as I can.

    • @ScottBell
      @ScottBell  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      How are you liking the C70? I still need to get more comfortable with it. Cinematch is pretty impressive though, that's for sure!

    • @joeywilcoxson8402

      @@ScottBell I'm loving the C70 so far. It's a powerful camera but still fits on my gimbal (although with counterweight) and I am able to use the canon EF lenses with the Speed boosters on each camera, so each lens has multiplied value. Something I've also done, is to get the basic EOS RF-EF adapter without magnification, and this multiplies the possible focal lengths of all lenses as well, so with one purchase of a $199 adapter, each prime lens is effectively two lenses and each kit lens has wider or more narrow options depending on which angle you're coming from. I'm taking it slow and trying to organically introduce it into my projects as I familiarize myself with it, and Cinematch will allow me to incorporate it only on the shots I deem safe for now, without any major change ups between shots. The major hold up on my end is that I'm extremely cautious to take it certain places or to get it out because it is such a large investment, and I also want to do the camera justice with the shots I choose. I apologize for such a late reply, and I admire your participation with your subscribers. Thank you kindly, Scott :D

      @@joeywilcoxson8402 Nice. I just picked up an RS2 as I was having to counterweight it on the Ronin-S and it was so worth the upgrade. It balances with ease and no counterweights. The gimbal is also much lighter and smaller, which balances out the extra weight of the C70. That's a cool idea to use both types of adapters to get more range out of your lenses. And I feel ya on wanting to be careful with it. I feel that way about pretty much every new equipment investment. After it gets a few scratches I'll be less cautious haha. If I'm not using it, it's kind of a waste. Wrapping up a big project I started with the GH5 last year and then most things moving forward will be C70.

    • @joeywilcoxson8402
      @joeywilcoxson8402 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ScottBell I currently have the Ronin-S, and I will definitely consider the RS2 being it you make a great case for using it with the C70. I will be more comfortable with the C70 as well upon a few nicks and scratches, and also when I have developed my M.O. further with this new Camera(so less fumbling for buttons/settings). I agree, it is a waste for the equipment to be locked away and not being used as the creative tool it is hahah. I must say, I appreciate you taking the time to reply Scott, I admire your style and authenticity! Look forward to seeing your GH5 project from last year when it is all wrapped up and of course looking forward to your further creative insights and expressions with the C70 from here on out.

      @@ScottBell did you use vlog for your gh5 here? I have gh5 im wondering if it's worth buying vlog to use as a b cam for c70. or is it not needed?

    • @ScottBell
      @ScottBell  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@wcsdiaries Yes, the GH5 footage is vlog. If you want to use Cinematch it has to be in a log profile for it to work. After getting used to shooting with log on a few different cameras I don't think I'd go back to shooting in a standard picture profile. The flexibility to max cameras is much better with log footage.

      @@JohnFultonCGL Thanks for checking out CineMatch. The plugin is actually quite different from CST in Resolve - we use camera profiles to match the colors from each individual camera sensor prior to applying the target color science, so the match results are much closer than you can achieve with just the CST on its own.
