I have to say that a 3:00 Christmas eve service, sounds amazing. I'm catholic so we do the whole, 7 PM or Midnight Mass thing. 3:00 is such a wonderful time you can celebrate in the evening at home and festivities do not have to be so late.

I always make mines ahead and keep it undone enough so that it can become Crisp with a 30 Second Warm up.

Having been someone who worked at Cracker Barrel for 15 years with a portion of that being a Backup and Prep cook, That recipe is pretty close. However, the true recpipe does not have the sour crfeam so you can omit that. They make theirs but putting the cream of chicken, shreded hash browns, they use them straight from forzen the cheese and the onions in a mixer, like a kitchenaid with the salt and pepper and then throw that into a pan. easy peasy lemon squeezy. It never dis appoints. They biscuits are even easier than that.
After watching this Christmas video I had to go back and watch the last 3-4 Christmas videos as well. It brought my heart so much Joy to see your grown kids spending the 2 days with you all❤️ My kids are grown and gone (4,000 miles away) and I miss our old family Christmas time. Arika, my Christmas Eve tradition is watching the first episode of Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color titled An Adventure in Color/Donald in Mathmagic Land, which I do a 4:00 am Wisconsin time, cuz I was heavily inspired by the Swedish Christmas tradition of watching Donald Duck, and I proudly take my Americanized Swedish tradition very seriously and strictly.
We spent Christmas in the hospital with my husband. Our oldest son & his girlfriend, our youngest son & me spent Christmas with my husband in the hospital he's having surgery tomorrow & then he will have to stay until Sat or Sun. Before be he get to come home.
Praying for your husband! Sorry to hear y'all had to spend Christmas at the hospital but I'm sure you're thankful for family visiting with y'all there! Merry Christmas ❤
