I have the zenith c7 and it's been really nice. This one looks sweet but dang expensive lol. I wanted to get the double black diamond but it's been out of stock for awhile. Not sure if I should try this one or wait for the double black diamond
HI Andrew, will you able to tell me what you think between Joola Hyperion Ben Johns CFS 16 8.5oz compare to the selkirk vanguard power air.Which Paddle is your prefferance. Thanks
@tzer yah tan, That one is tough! While the Selkirk Invikta has untouchable and insane spin, the JOOLA Hyperion Ben Johns is my preference for pretty much everything else: feel, control, touch, consistency. If I were going into a singles tournament, I'd likely take the Selkirk for its crazy spin, but a concern with my game and the Selkirk is that it has a less consistent and less forgiving sweet spot. So, for doubles, the Ben Johns Hyperion is my go-to for its reliability, excellent balanced power/control and top-tier consistency. You can't go wrong with either, but for overall play, the Ben Johns CFS would be the winner for me. Sorry for the wall of text! - Andrew, Total Pickleball
From my experience, it took a while to get used to it but the touch is great after adjusting to the paddle, control is a bit more complicated as I have to work a bit harder to control my shot, but overall love the paddle
Similar to @Brandon Lim, it also took a little adjusting to get the feel right. At first the feel was a little unpredictable as I normally hit with a 16mm paddle, and this one wasn't as forgiving on off-center hits. It has a good amount of pop which takes adjusting to dial in the control; however, the spin kept me addicted to hitting it. Now that I have figured it out, I absolutely love this paddle and am using it for singles play primarily. - Andrew, Total Pickleball
Simply put it’s a very special paddle. Loved it immediately
